      A classic beauty

      Wearing too much will surely be a put-off - very little is needed to get attention. I use one drop for both wrists and one drop for both sides of my neck- I never fail to get questions like, "What IS that you're wearing?" or Is that a new perfume?" January 30, 2008, 6:25 am

      It is heavy, but I like it

      There is a rumor that Marilyn Monroe used to sleep in this perfume. It is a little aged smelling. Alright...my husband told me it smelled like his grandmother. Nevertheless, I like it. It is a classic scent & I always feel a little more glamourous for wearing it. October 1, 2008, 8:47 am

      Although this classic may be too heavy for everyday, wear it once or twice a year to just feel beautiful !! Buy this if only for the Bottle. Looks like a Beauty on my dresser..... Love it !! May 29, 2008, 1:17 am

      Classic and Outdated

      Simply too heavy for use in our society where many people are sensitive to heavy cloying fragrances. . If you want to use a Chanel fragrance that isn’t so heavy but still has a classic angle, I suggest Chance or Coco. My mother used this CHANEL N°5 PARFUM in the 1970's and even then it was just too, too much. Might be worth... owning for the nostalgic affect but as far as being a useful part of your beauty cache, no way. January 1, 2008, 8:19 am

      I've always hated the smell of Chanel No. 5; it simply smells "perfumey," not like any particular scent. To me, it's always smelled like "rich old lady"! I don't know why it's so revered as a classic favorite... January 24, 2008, 9:18 am

      over-rated indeed

      after frequently heard ad and media brag about this parfum, I tried a few times and during 10 years, i still could not fall in love with it, I just so wonder how could people think it is wonderful, i simply believe too powdery to bear. sorry all the ladies who love it. June 3, 2008, 5:34 pm

      My signature scent

      I love No. 5! It is my scent. I feel so sexy in it. It is not for everyone though. You young and fruity girls should stay away and by fruity I am talking about the scents you like. The less people wear it the better for me. So shoo shoo all of you! MINE!!!! August 26, 2009, 12:14 am
