New favorite!

I just bought this shadow in African Violet and I am in love. I have red hair and brown eyes and purple is not only my favorite color, but it's very flattering to my coloring. This shadow is my new favorite purple shadow. It's sort of a smoky purple shade with gold-ish shimmer. I feel like it's a much more grown up purple shadow than some of my brighter lilac-type shades. It's not glitter that will flake off and irritate your eyes. I wear contacts and haven't had any trouble, even though I've been wearing this shadow almost every day since I bought it. Update: I cannot wear this shadow on days I wear contact lenses because shimmer comes off and irritates my eyes. I still love this shadow, though!

I can't wait to buy more!

I was on a quest for the perfect gold shadow, and I finally found it at Laura Mercier. Gold dust offers the perfect amount of shimmer (no glitter here) and finds the gold color sweet spot between being washed out and being tacky. The overall quality of the product--finely milled powder and good packaging--make me eager to try out more Laura Mercier's (terrific selection of) colors.

A Good Choice

For a powder shadow with shimmer this is one to try. It is not too shimmery and does not flake. Good choice of colors.

I love the guava

I recently let the Laura Mercier counter do my makeup and I've never been so tempted to buy everything a makeup artist used. I settled for buying the brow wax, a lipstick, and the eye shimmer in guava. It's a beautifully subtle, becoming shade that works well with other eye makeup -- you can afford dramatic liner and mascara when your eye color is this natural and glowing.

Fantastic!

What a beautiful eye colour! The amount of shimmer is perfect, no disco glitter but enough to give your lids a nice sheen. It's very finely milled, goes on soft and smooth with absolutely no creasing. My favorite shades are Rose (a beautiful rose gold color) and sandstone (a lovely champagne to highlight browbones). All colors are great on their own but layer beautifully.
