Fast-track to dry lips

I tried this because a magazine article raved about it a couple years ago. It smelled nice, and I've liked other Burt's Bees products, so my hopes were high. However, every time I used this gloss, my lips seemed to become even more dry than they'd previously been. The gloss would stay moist for about 10 minutes, and then the dryness would begin. At least it was inexpensive.

Not a good gloss, only ok as a balm

I am a fan of Burt's Bees but these lip glosses aren't that great. They only give the barest hint of shine so I would consider them more in the balm family. They also don't moisturize that well and have a waxy texture so they don't score very high in the balm category either. The scent is pretty nice, but not amazing and there isn't really any flavor. Basically I'd pick a Burt's balm or the tube lip gloss over the potted gloss. Meh.

sweet!

The flavors are great, but it can be a bit messy in the summer heat - also, no preservatives so be careful -- this can spoil easily!!!

Ick

I am always seeking out more natural, organic products (and Burts Bee's has some great options) but this "gloss" isn't glossy at all, but rather is thick and almost impossible to get out of the tub without grating some up under your fingernail. Ew. And that ubiquitous Burt's Bees scent is full force with just a hint of the flavor it is supposed to be. That's a deal-breaker for me. There are much better options out there.

its great but...

if you lick your lips to moisten, it has an awful taste to it. Sort of like your typical bees wax. It does have a shine to it like a chapstick, but not anywhere near a gloss. I think this would sell better as a chapstick.

Hubby likes it

You're right ladies this is not a "gloss" it's more of a lip balm. I did'nt like it but hubby loves it. Give it to your man if you're not happy with it.

Not very glossy!

This Lip Gloss did not leave much shine on my lips, it just left! I got better moisture and shine from plain old Chapstick and and less than half the price.

Excellent!

I love it! Once again my Mom turned me on to this product. I have the bad habit of licking my lips, even when it's windy and cold outside. So they are always chapped. I wanted something that had a little bit of shine, but would protect my lips as well. I don't like the smell or taste of chapstick, so Burt's Bees Lip Gloss was the perfect solution! Very affordable. Now I don't leave home without it!
