This lip-plumping treatment gloss is meant to be used nightly before bed to garner the effects of "injectables like collagen and hyaluronic acid." That's a stretch. The HA in the formula does draw water to swell lips temporarily (expect the plump to last for about an hour) but the company suggests the ingredients cause long-term plumping without backing up the claim via independent clinical studies. And for $50, why save the short-term plumping benefit for bedtime unless you've got company?

    Didn't see a difference

This was one of those products I tried on a whim just for the heck of it and I can't say I'm impressed. First I'd like to say I have full top and bottom lips to begin with. I just wanted to see if this product was going to improve upon the fullness I already have. Well, it didn't. And yes, I used it as directed. I used... it daily for almost 4 months and I haven't seen any plumping to this day. The tingle I feel upon application sort of fools me into thinking it's plumping it up. Of course, it wasn't. I'm not saying this is a totally bad product. It's actually quite decent as a lip gloss alone but if you have very thin lips to begin with, don't expect to just magically have a full pout by using it. At best, it's a nice lip gloss that hydrates and moisturizes and fills in the fine lines and grooves on the lips, giving the appearance of smoothness. However...there are other lip products that can accomplish the same thing for far cheaper. At the very worst, it's a VERY expensive, glorified lip gloss/plumper that doesn't work. If this product was much cheaper, I would probably use it just as a lip gloss. As I said, it's not a bad product and it's actually OK as a gloss alone. As far as plumping my lips, forget it. Worked but. . .

    by DimTwinkle (3 reviews)
I used this product exactly as it directed, faithfully for several months. I noticed a definite but slight plumping effect that lasted all day. However, after 5 or 6 months of regular use I began to see my lip line become irregular--in a magnifying mirror I could see that it appeared some parts of my lip line were plu...mper than others. I continued to use it for about another month but matters didn't improve. It took about 1 week after I discontinued the product for my lip line to normalize. My recommendation: It's pricey but worth a try. Perhaps my skin had something to do with my outcome. I would use it again for a special event. If you find you have the same problem as I did and you know you have something special in the offing, start using it right away and exactly as directed. Allow at least a week of use to really see a difference. Then just discontinue until the next time. December 27, 2007, 10:52 am

    How do you really know?

    by Janiegirl (5 reviews)
Lip plumping? Sure in the sense that your lips become irritated with the ingredients and therefore slightly swell in response. It does increase the color of the lips during this inflammation phase which lasts about 30 minutes or so. What I want to know is if the claim that the ingredients will actually penetrate the lip ...and increase collagen over time, resulting in plumper looking lips all day long. I don't really know. As expensive as it is, I tend to use it on special occasions. Overall, it is a decent product. February 16, 2008, 11:16 am

    Dried my lips out-

    by Janetplanet (3 reviews)
Hello- I tried this product which was very highly hyped at a local beauty store at the mall. It did make my lips appear plumper but my lips also got chapped and irritated feeling for the next 4-5 days from just one application of the product. It is possible I have sensitive lips, but I would be careful and try this produ...ct first before you fork out the money. It may cause dry lips like it did mine. November 29, 2007, 6:56 pm

I own 6 gorgeous shades of Lip Fusion plus the XL. I've heard a few people say it didn't work for them but I can't live without this stuff. It's not sticky or smelly which alot of glosses are. I do have fuller lips to begin with but this takes it to the next level!!! I have people ask me all the time if I get my lips done. ...No other gloss measues up in my opinion and I've tried them ALL! It also moisturizes and although you might feel a slight minty tingle it's really temporary. I don't remember what I did before this product! November 12, 2007, 2:29 pm

    worth the money!!

    by roxygriff (5 reviews)
This is great stuff, I can tell a wonderful difference and if you use this product for awhile, your lips stay plump for weeks to months at the time, I love it!! It is well worth the money! It doesn't burn like the others you find, and so far it is the only one that has not caused me to get a fever blister. It is also very s...hiny like a gloss, with a minty smell and taste, it is the BEST!!! May 16, 2008, 8:39 am

i was all excited but the hype, and the futuristic silver mirror tube seemed to promise its all true....but i didnt see any thing too great about it. its not the most full my lips have ever been when i woke up, and not the most plumping ive gotten from a gloss BY FAR....maybe its me, but i did just as the tube suggested and... im pretty disapointed. average. Love the taste!

    by seplin (4 reviews)
I only tried it for one day when Nordstrom's opened in Hawaii and the SA caught me looking at the colors. I got a little worried when my lips started tingling since I already have full lips but the SA said it would just fill my lines out. I didn't notice that much of a difference but like I said I only tried it once. I l...ike the smell and taste of it, like pink grapefruit. The price is outrageous! I would buy if it was cheaper. again, eh

    by carbonparadise (10 reviews)
I've never actually bought this product, just bummed it off of friends and tried the sample at Sephora. I think it's just because I have a beauty masochistic streak in me and enjoy the stinging pain. I do notice my lips being a tiny bit lusher, though they are already rather plump. What is more evident it a distinct bee stu...ng redness, though unevenly distrusted along my lips which made a male friend ask if I was having an allergic reaction. Don't pay $50 for this, it really isn't worth it. January 27, 2008, 1:25 pm

    Plump it up!

If you don't mind spending some cash on a lip plumping product, I would suggest that you try this one. It is hands down my favorite because it doesn't sting or burn- there is a light tingling feeling but it actually feels minty and nice. I love the large variety of shades that you usually don't see with most brands. I visib...ly noticed fuller lips, but you definately do need to reapply during the day for the best results.
