Lifeguard indeed!

This balm is only SORT OF good if you don't mind having white lips. Even if you're ok with the white (for the sake of sun protection), the texture is very, very strange. I wore it once and never again!

Definately for lifeguards

This lip balm turned my lips white and chalky feeling. Leave this for the lifeguards and try the pom one.

Boo

I liked this for about 2 seconds. I applied it without a mirror. Big mistake! I found my lips were WHITE! I don't recommend this for anyone. Skip it!

funny story about this...

I bought this on a whim because I wanted a product to protect my lips in sun. I saw that it says lifeguard so I'm thinking "ok this is something a lifeguard wears" So I buy it and put it on. I'm a nanny at the time so I'm walking alot with the kids. We walk home with the stroller and as I'm walking I'm not thinking anything of my lips. The lip balm felt great! I get home and look in the mirror and...read more notice white all over my mouth and past my lips (I wanted to really protect my lips) I couldn't believe the horrific sight so I just laughed and laughed. Needless to say I returned the product to buy something clear!

not worth it

I usually love Burt's Bees lip balms but this one I didn't care for. The only thing i like is the taste of mint. I hate how it makes my lips WHITE. Plus it didn't do much for the chapping.

The Worst

My mother got me this balm a few years ago. It went on chalky white and had a hard waxy feel. Made lips dry. And it stunk.

White Lips

This WORKS like any other burts bees product, BUT, it does make your lips COMPLETELY white. When I put it on and they were white I was hoping I could cover some of the 'whiteness' with a darker lipgloss. Even a darker lipgloss couldn't mask the balm and I just had to take the gloss and balm completely off. To boot, the balm also has a chalky feel and sort of makes your lips feel dry.

Feels nice but it's not pretty...

If you're wanting a white lipstick, this is a perfect solution. If not...probably pass on this. It does feel nice and keep your lips protected though. It might work under another lip color or if you were going skiing and would have your mouth covered with a scarf or something.

BURT'BEES LIFEGUARD LIP BALM

Yes your lips may turn white if you put too much on but when you use it overnight your lips will thank you. Miy lips are dry from some lipsticks and after night an ini the morning my lips are so soft and good. Thanks Burt!

Yeah...

I'm a Burt's Bees junkie. Ask anyone! I love Burt's Bees. So I went to Florida and forgot all of my lip balm back home and my lips aren't used to being in the sun since I live in the Midwest. I bought this at the local drugstore and I go home and put it on. It feels great and it smells minty, so I just head out to the beach without really looking at myself in the mirror. I go in the water for a li...read morettle bit, and a lot of my wet hair got onto my cheeks and nose and almost in my eyes. I go back onto the beach and wipe off my face with my blue towel and see white gunk all over my towel where my lips were. When I go home, I put the lip balm on and see that it leaves nasty white residue all over my lips. Sorry for the long story, but that's about it. Not a quality buy.
