Clinique 3-Step Kit with Facial Soap - Combination Oily and Oily Skin Types Reviews

My original 3-step
I have been using the 3 step since teen years. Over the years my skin condition changed from oily to combination but I always find something to fit my skin needs. Recently I have more serious problem with acne, I use Clinique acne solution 3 step. Once my acne problem is gone, I will definitely go back to this 3 step. No matter which one, I won't travel without Clinique 3 step system. Each comes with good portion, and the prices are still reasonable. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Bummer
I am disappointed with these products. Too pricey. I have tried every combination of the three step imaginable and always wind up with irritated skin or breakouts. I hate the bar soap and clarifying lotion the most. The moisturizing gel is okay (much better than the lotion), but why even bother with it when Clinique has other moisturizers that are awesome. They always recommend using their higher end moisturizers after their dramatically different moisurizing lotion/gel which is redundant. It just makes no sense to moisturize twice. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Not for sensitive skin.
The sales woman assured me this was suitable for sensitive skin. Three days later i had chemical burns on my cheeks and around my mouth. The skin around my eyes was dry and peeling, my face never looked so bad. To make things worse under all the red, burned, flaking skin i was breaking out too. I would give this product a negative number if i could. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Although its an expensive kit it's definitely worth your money. One of my friends rave about this product so I gave it a shot. my skin definitely improved and looks and feels fresh all day long. If you do have combination type skin this is for you. — 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

ONLY THING I use
I am in my early 40's and I have used this stuff pretty consistantly over the past 20+ years. I love it. I have combination skin, but the nose area is very oily and I have enlarged pores. I find this keeps the breakouts away, makes my skin feel very very clean and the gel moisture lotion is the bomb. I have no wrinkles whatsoever and I know it is because of this. HIGHLY recommend this product. — 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Amazing product!!
I have had this product for about 4 months now and i absolutely love it. This product did not make me break out at all. It actually helped me get rid of breakouts. Before I started using this product my forehead would itch a lot and i would have pimples on my forehead. I don't have an itchy forehead thanks to this. I would recommend people to first see a clinique consultant and then ask them what type of skin you are. I would also recommend to get samples of the steps so you could try it out first. Make sure that you get samples that would last you a while not just a day or 2. If the products makes your skin break out or make your face red then this product is not for you. Some people just have really delicate skin and need something else. But overall I am satisfied with this product and i think ill keep buying this for the rest of my life. — 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

just a cleansing system
I used this product for years when I was younger. I have combination skin and I started with the clarifying lotion number 3, which the Clinique consultant recommended after learning that I'm prone to break outs. It worked well with my acne, however, it dried my skin. I tried the one for sensitive skin (number 1) and the one labeled mild, but Both do not feel like they were helping and I feel a sticky residue in my face. I went back to Clinique and the consultant finally recommended the clarifying lotion number 2 (for normal skin). This worked the best for as it is less harsh than number 3. The Clinique soap, as well as the moisturizing lotion, worked for me as well. No break out. However, my skin outgrew the product. As I got older, I realize that it does not offer me the anti-aging regimen that I need to combat wrinkles and signs of aging. I am currently not using this regimen anymore. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Works for me!
I know everyone's skin is different and some products work for one person and don't work for others. But Clinique 3 step combination oily-oily definitely works for me! I have adult acne, some of which is medication related and so inevitable. And I have tried everything! Proactiv, bare minerals, and everything over the counter as well as some medication creams for acne. Nothing works as well as this cleansing system! It's so great for sensitive skin..hope it works for you! — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Awful Breakouts
I bought a travel-sized version of the 3-Step System from Sephora for twelve dollars just to try it. I don't usually have terrible acne, but I thought I could be using a better product then what I was using at the time. Boy, I was wrong. First, let's observe the liquid soap. You're supposed to lather it in your hands and then rub it on your face. It never said for how long on the packaging. Once you have the stuff on your face, it hardens up quickly, so you have to keep rubbing it around. Then once you wash it off your face, you don't feel any different then before. It did not give me the assurance my face was clean. Next, the toner. Boy, did this stuff REEK! I mean, it seriously stunk! It also burns your eyes when you put it on your cheeks. Not cool. Then, the moisturizing gel. It's pretty much the only thing out of the whole system that didn't feel like it was doing more harm then good. But it's definitely not the best moisturizer ever. After using this system for a week and a half, I have very painful cysts all over my face and it hurts to make facial expressions. I am definitely switching back to my Noxema/Nivea Creme combo. All in all, I give this a two, but only for the moisturizer. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful
