Real Deal for Dry Skin
I have tried creams from every pricepoint to combat the dry skin on my legs. This product works better than low-end Vaseline to high-end La Mer. The oils are highly moisturizing without feeling heavy, like Vaseline. My skin stays moist for most of the day. Bad reaction
My skin had a terrible burning sensation when I used this. My mom had some sitting around the house she barely touched and I decided to try it because I usually like Dove products, but it was terrible. My skin burned for hours and hours, essentially the entire day every single time I tried this, even if I washed it off immediately afterwards. I had little red stingy bumps all over my legs. I tried it having not shaved recently, and just after shaving. Of course it hurt the most just after shaving, but there was hardly any difference when I tried it having not shaved in nearly a week. I would give it a one except I feel that my skin had a particularly bizarre reaction to it, certainly not the normal one. It bothers me though, because I am not allergic to anything at all that I am aware of and nothing has hurt me like this lotion before or since. It is also strange that I have used the body wash version of this a couple of times (very warily), and had no problems with it. Lots of people seem to love this, but it is my skin's nemesis. I would say definitely try it if you think it would work for you, but if you have very sensitive skin, steer clear of it and go for something very gentle. I did not mind the smell, but maybe the fragrance contributed to the reaction? Or maybe it has a higher alcohol content than usual? Love It!!
This is a lightweight body lotion with just enough oil to moisturize your skin without feeling greasy. Sinks right in and gives your skin a nice glow like you have been to the spa. I just tried this lotion and will never use another. Great for Every Day
I am generally into Olay but I like to mix it up and this is a great mixer. Very moisturizing and rich without being too heavy or greasy. It also has a light clean smell-could be a little lighter but does not really interfere with your fragrance. And for all it does who can beat the price? Cream + Oil is perfect combination.
I'm in my early 40's, and thought this might be too rich for my skin. I was wrong! This lotion is just the right blend of oil + lotion, so that your skin absorbs the product. The scent is moderate, and this isn't overly heavy. My only remark is that it feels a bit "tacky" on your skin when you first put it on. Unbearable Scent
The lotion itself is fine but I could not get over the strong, awful scent. I don't have a history of asthma or other breathing disorders but this product literally made me short of breath and I had to reshower. Too Smelly!
I dislike the smell of this oily lotion so uch I tried to let Dove know, but they have a lengthy form to fill out for feedback. THe product has a very potent scent much like Self Tanner. I can smell it all night long. It has a thin consistency which I do not care for either. Best for Post-Menopausal Skin
I have dry, thin, post-menopausal skin, which is made worse by the fact that I also take Methotrexate!
