Stila Lip Glaze Reviews

Did not like the smell or the feel
I bought this from a beauty supply store and had heard great things about the brand. I was very disappointed. The smell was the thing that turned me off the most. The texture was sticky and too thick. Threw it away before I used even a quarter of it. I would not recommend this product to any of my girlfriends. — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Stila "LipPAINT" anyone?
I received a pack of 3 Stila Lip Glaze's for Christmas and never would have thought that a lipgloss could be so disappointing, especially from a department store. It was more matte than gloss and a bit sticky, but the worst part was the pigment. It wasso pigmented it was like applying paint to my mouth. I could have turned off the lights and my lips would still be seen! I prefer a shiny, soft and sheer gloss and this was not. Plus, 2 of the colors were beautiful spring and summer colors in the tube, but I couldn't believe how thick and dense the formula was. Additionally, after about a week of attempting to make these work, I noticed that the lettering was coming off of the tube like it was $1 lipgloss and not from a department store. Definitely not for me. As a plus, if you like long wearing lip products (I don't) this might be a good option. Because it was so matte and like paint, it tends to stay on awhile and the TINIEST bit goes a long way as far as color is concerned; however, with that tiny bit for color, you will not get any moisture from it. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Save your shekels
For the price of this lip gloss, you can do much better. Stila offers this gloss in a tempting array of scented colors and an innovative delivery system (you brush it on). This gloss looks fabulous on ... but only for a few minutes. The color and shine wear off very quickly. It also has a funky taste. — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not bad
I really like the color selection of the ten pack of glazes I recently purchased from Sephora. The colors are very flattering and there is just the right amount of shine. The glaze can be a bit sticky if applied to thick, but after blotting it was no longer a problem. So lesson learned on how much to use. It has the typical staying power of most glosses, and there is no offensive odor or taste. All in all, for the price I paid for ten of them it was a really good deal. Otherwise, I don't think I would purchase separately. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great colors but poor texture
These colors are very flattering and compliment almost every skin tone. The disappointment is the sticky feel of the gloss and the gloss doesn't last very long. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

pretty good gloss
I got this in Guava. The first thing I had to get used to was the way to get the gloss in the brush. Still working on getting the right amount in but I'm getting better at it. My first time got too much and part of it is now stuck in the cap. The gloss itself it pretty good. Nice hint of color and even a sweet flavor. Not very long lasting though. But gotta take the bad with the good. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Clickity Stick That I'll Stick With
I used to eye these whenever I'd enter a Sephora shop but I had never paid enough mind to purchase one until one day I ran out of my MAC lipgloss in my favorite shade. So I was browsing through the store and found the color selection in my perfect taste especially since I'm not too fond of the opaque look of lipstick or how drying it feels. I got this first in grapefruit and the first opinion I had of this was that it was thick and somewhat sticky when I tested it out but I realized that if I apply it thinly to my lips that they don't adhere at all and it doesn't feel heavy plus the benefit of enhancing my lip color because it's sheer yet pigmented so the result is a lush natural like finish with a hint of color. I went to the grocery store with this and ran errands for the day, this was my first day taking the gloss out for a spin and four hours later, I realized that it was still on and the pigment had lasted. So I'm loving this now but the hardest part is accepting that the product starts from the middle of the tube instead of the bottom and this is the amount I'm shelling out twenty dollars for that probably won't last me too long because I'm liking it so much that I'll probably be using this as my daily lip product. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 6 people said helpful

Not Truly Impressed With This Product At All!
Stila's Lip Glaze is really no different in quality and performance than cheaper ones that you can readily get at the drugstore. I wasn't super impressed by this product one bit! — 5 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great look, high price, sticky application
First the positives, the glaze comes in a variety of really great colors and gives color as well as a very high shine. It also has a nice scent and unobtrusive taste. The negatives...it is pretty pricey for the quality. I am willing to drop a lot of dough on good make-up but this just doesn't seem worth the mark-up. Anyways, the applicator gets a very big meh from me. The brush is nice but it is way too easy to give this an extra click and end up with goo all over your lips or all over the inside of your cap. I like my make-up to also look nice in its package and having lip gloss smeared in the inside of its cap isn't appealing. The other neg is that it is really easy to put too much of this gloss on and although the pigmentation is a positive, it makes your lips look funny if there is too much. Also, this is uber-sticky stuff. I know gloss is going to be sticky, but this is stickier than average. Overall, I'd say if you find your perfect color go for it, otherwise there are lots of other glosses that will give you more bang for your buck. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
