This product gives a nice subtle shimmer when worn alone or mixed with a little foundation. (If you prefer a little more coverage, then I suggest you mix with foundation). I am very fair skinned with golden undertones and I purchased #3 (gold). The colour goes well with my skin and does not look garish. A plus for this product is that it works well with my oily skin. The texture is light and applies easily with the brush. Remember: A little goes a long way! I have this in the lightest shade (#1 I think) and I use it every day on my cheek bones and right above and below my eye brows to highlight my boniest (or strongest) features. Make sure you blend well otherwise you'll be able to see where the highlighting begins and ends. I received this as a sample from Sephora in the gold shade and it works great as a highlighter along my cheek bones (pale skin). I also use Benefit Moon Beam and the big difference between the two would be that MoonBeam has some pink undertones to it while Stila is a pure, subtle gold.
