I got two of these free (Spice Writer and Mocha Writer) with a purchase of lipstick. They are soft and creamy enough to go on smoothly without tugging. But they are firm enough to stay in place. They have made me want to get some of the cooler colors like Plummy Writer and Wine Writer. I love the pencil and the brush. Putting lipstick on with a brush is so nice. The pencil is very smooth and I like to fill in all of my lips with the pencil before I put the lipstick on. I used this for my wedding, too! I used Rose Writer. The texture is smooth, little scent, and the end with the brush is great! I filled in my whole mouth to make the color last longer, and it worked great with gloss over it!
