  Great for highlights, warning on low lights

  In the summer when I had highlights only I used this occasionally to brighten them and it did a great job. My hair is normal, and it made it feel very light and gave it a little volume as it brightened my blonde. I think if I used this everyday, my hair would feel a little stripped of moisture, and I think it acts similar... to a clarifying shampoo. In the past, I usually get high and low lights when fall comes around. Do not use this product if you have color in your hair because it will strip it out to some degree.   65 yr. old strawberry blonde

  This is the best shampoo I have ever used in my entire life. My hair was beginning to turn a dulless dark red & I was looking for something to bring it back to the beautiful strawberry blonde that I & my husband loved. I found it the first time I used the Sheer Blonde Platinum to Champagne by John Frieda. I love the... way my hair looks & feels now. My hair is very fine & with this shampoo it becomes fuller & shinier each time I wash it. I will never go back to using any other product for my hair. October 25, 2007, 6:03 pm

  So-So...

  I really like the shampoo for it being a shampoo, but in the idea of helping your hair stay blonde or enhancing, I don't really see it. I use another shimmer product in my hair when I don't use this and it works better than the shampoo in my opinion. I think it just depends on what you expect. A good side of things is tha...t it doesn't have parabens, which I'm all for! :) April 29, 2008, 1:35 pm

  Keeps blond hair color true

  John Frieda is an inexpensive shampoo that does the job of keep blonds blond but not brassy very well. It lathers well and you just have to use a little to get hair clean. It lasts a long time and keeps my hair looking natural between colorings. November 30, 2007, 4:26 am

  I purchased this and used it along with the conditioner. I did not see a difference at all. In addition, I found that my waist length hair was so tangled that I had to jump back into the shower and re-condition my hair before I could comb it out. I'm giving it a 2 for the price.....   I am In Love With it!

  A great time and money saver

  Since I have my hair highlighted, I know how pricey the process is, and this product is a godsend. It extends the length of time between necessary full-head foil treatment and keeps hair looking great until the next trip to the stylist. I've tried Redkin Color-Stay.   the biggest boost for blondes

  john frieda activating shampoo gave my dull, heat damanged, and "need a colorist appointment asap" hair a huge boost! immediatley after wash and blow dry, I can visibly see a more vibrant, fresh from the salon blonde color! October 24, 2007, 2:33 am

  didn't activate highlights

  i didn't notice a difference in my blond hair. but i did love the smell & the shampoo otherwise. it was a good clarifying shampoo that really got my hair clean without stripping it of natural moisture. if you're one to wash your hair everyday be careful this one gets your hair squeaky clean.   One of the best

  This is a shampoo brand that I have used for years. I have gone to other shampoos but always come back to this one. It is an all-around great shampoo. My hair gets greAt manageability and gets a great shine when others just dull my hair. I am also very picky with scents, And this one has a very pleasant scent and keeps my h...air smelling nice for awhile. I have used plenty salon shampoos and this one is definatley salon quality without the high price. October 13, 2008, 4:42 am
