No miracle scar cure
luckybetty (880 reviews)I was so clumsy that I knocked down a mug filled with boiling water about a year ago. My stomach area got burned, and some of the skin peeled off after I used ice cubes.....anyway, I used a tube of ointment, and after my skin was healed I started using Mederma. Yeah, I agree, Mederma is expensive. I got the biggest tube available, and it was more than $25. I patiently used Merderma continuously. The colorless gel is not very thick, but a bit gooey, and has a weird scent, not really like aloe though. My skin feels soothing after apply Mederma, but that's not why I bought this. The brown area seemed to fade away a bit over months, but I can still see them to this day. I cannot honestly say that it was because of Mederma. It may be that the time is the key factor to fade the burned spots. I did not buy the third tube because there was no improvement at the end of the second tube. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

expensive, tiny tube, nasty feeling
corizotti (540 reviews)one of the people where my sister works said this was the BEST thing for stretchmarks. when you have a whole body full following a pregnancy, [stomach, chest, hips, back and legs!] the size of the tube is a real pain. plus it doesnt absorb and kinda peels off too, and it didnt do anything that either me or my sister could see [we both tried it]. i havent found anything that works well for stretch marks for sure. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

didn't work for me
msbrown822 (190 reviews)I used this on a scar that was left on my arm from a Smallpox shot. It did absolutely nothing but peel off. I didn't get rid of the scar, it didn't even make it less noticable, at all. A complete waste of money. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

does not do a thing
Miss_Vicki (253 reviews)I used this on a small facial scar and a burn scar on my hand. Long story short, i still have the scars. This is a big waste of money. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great Product!
Darcie718 (41 reviews)My mom got a deluxe sample of this from her doctor after having surgery and was told to use it to help the scarring heal and it worked like a charm on her. Her scars healed pretty quickly and virtually disappeared. Just about everyone in my family and several of my friends have used it as well and never had a complaint. I've even used it on older scars and it helped significantly fade them. — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Doesn't work.
adriannemarie82 (23 reviews)After trying several other scar creams, I finally forked over the money to try Mederma. Unfortunately, I didn't see any results. I used this on facial acne scars which weren't that bad to begin with, but it failed to lighten them at all even after faithful daily use. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

no bueno
emily8miller (14 reviews)Well, seeing as how there are a bunch of very low reviews and very high reviews but none in the middle, I'm guessing this product works best on newer scars . . . that is what the packaging claims anyway. I myself tried this product on a nose small piercing scar and got no noticeable results. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

HORRIBLE STUFF!
amo1407 (2 reviews)This stuff did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me. It was so expensive, but I decided that I'd have to pay for something that would work well. WRONG! This icky, sticky gel would not absorb into my skin, peeled when it finally did, and left my skin irritated and itchy! Which made me want to scratch my painful scars and made them even worse! Don't buy! — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
