This is the only foundation I can wear every day and it looks like I'm not wearing any makeup at all, but it's great coverage--my skin looks flawless and it doesn't make me break out.10/30/2007

November 29, 2007, 6:08 pm I've been using Iredale products almost exclusively for 4 years now and I LOVE both the pressed and loose foundation powders. You will look more matte with the pressed, but after just a few minutes it mixes with the moisture and oils in your skin and looks incredibly natural (like you were born with great skin - even if you weren't). As a makeup artist that has used it on women from 16 to 70 I can tell you it is also better on mature skin than the loose mineral powder - it doesn't settle into the lines the way the loose can and I find it works better with the creamer moisturizers often used by women with more mature skin. Is a Fairly Decent Mineral Makeup Base

I have three compacts of this stuff in Warm Sienna, as I find that it is a fairly univeral shade for medium complexions. It gives light-to-medium coverage based on how much or little you apply. It gives light-to-medium coverage based on how much or little you apply. The best brush to use when it applying it is with the Handi Brush. It doesn't break me out which is a huge plus, but it goes on a bit too matte at first, but then it mixes with your natural oils over time. One of my main gripes about this product is its high pricetag. As, even though it is a fairly decent foundation, it truly doesn't warrant such a high price, in my opinion. It doesn't irritate or create more acne either. December 5, 2007, 7:52 pm

November 27, 2007, 10:50 am The color spectrum that Jane Iredale offers is really outstanding. They are just beautiful. And mineral makeup is definitely the way to go!!! The drawback of this product is that it contains bismuth and that can easily irritate sensitive skin. So what would be the sense of using mineral makeup because you are sensitive to regular makeup, but then having bismuth in the mineral stuff to irritate your skin? Beats me. What a disappointment!

    by calicokitty (158 reviews)
It really upset me I spent money on such an expensive foundation that did zilch for me. They say it's buildable coverage but on days I preferred more coverage, the more it looked fake. There are so many powder foundations out there for much cheaper that work 100x better than this. December 28, 2007, 2:54 am

    Terrific product for combination skin

    by yoligo (3 reviews)
I've been using this Jane Iredale product as well as the blush for a year. The coverage is just right and has cured the problems I've had for many years with liquid and cream foundations. My only caution is to use it with the Jane Iredale brush. I tried others but the product did not apply as well. December 12, 2007, 8:00 am

Very Impressed- it really does cover!

    by elisse (39 reviews)
I just started using this and was really impressed with the coverage it gives. I truly did not believe I'd get coverage of redness, etc., but it works! I probably won't be going back to my trusty MAC pancake opaque makeup now... December 9, 2007, 10:16 pm

    Only a little

    by pamsnet (3 reviews)
I have been using the Jane Iredale for a couple of years now. It is really nice to get up in the morning, brush on a small amount of this base and go to work. The coverage is enough to cover differences in shading but does not clump or lie heavy on your face. December 5, 2007, 12:06 pm

    Natural Looking Coverage

    by Gidget1 (3 reviews)
I just started using this product a few weeks ago. I apply it with a big brush and it goes on very nicely and offers good matt coverage but I don't look "made up" it is very natural looking. I do notice that my skin still gets a little shiny by early afternoon in the t-zone area. November 29, 2007, 10:48 am

      • Manufacturer's Product Description

      • A pressed mineral powder base with broad-spectrum sun protection. Water-resistant and highly pigmented, PurePressed Base applies evenly and easily, providing long-lasting, gorgeous coverage. Formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, it gives broad-spectrum, chemical-free UV protection, helping to protect the skin from sunburn, sun spots, and even skin cancer. It acts as a concealer, foundation, powder and sunscreen all in one, cutting down the amount of time you spend applying your makeup. Because the minerals reflect light, it is almost impossible to see where your makeup ends and your skin begins. Oil-, talc-, colorant- and paraben-free.
