    Fabulous 3-in-1 MMU

    by bigelove (10 reviews)
I love Jane Iredale PurePressed Base and have been using it for two years. It works as a foundation, powder, and sunscreen. It gives a light even coverage, and looks very natural. Some tips for better results: be sure to get the right shade for you (there are many available); a light coverage is all you need, so avoid apply...ing too much; use the Handi brush or a similar brush (not the pad that comes in the compact); and lightly use a mister or hydrosol after applying (it sets the powder and it seems to melt right in). Best Product Out There!

    by fitgrl14 (6 reviews)
I have been using this product for almost a year now, and after going through years and years of trying different brands and types of foundation, I have found that this is the best thing out there. The coverage you get is great, and there is no messy loose powder to clean up. It makes your skin look very natural, and the ...best thing it doesn't even feel like you are wearing makeup when you have it on!!! January 15, 2008, 3:51 pm

The only base I will ever use

    by ljilld (3 reviews)
Ever since my skin doctor introduced me to Jane Iredale, that is all I use, and I recommend it to everyone. I have worked in the cosmetic an fragrance industry for 22 years, and will not use any thing from the department stores as long as there is Jane Iredale out there! It is one step, goes on, stays on and does not get ra...ncied before I use it all. The base lasts me at least 6 months and I use it every day. I highly recomend it to anyone who uses foundation. Try this, and I bet you will never want to go back to a liquid or a traditonal base. December 12, 2007, 6:18 am

    product delivers

    by Darcien1 (16 reviews)
I use this foundation because of the high, mineral based SPF-- and it delivers. I am indoors for five days out of the week, leaving my skin tender and pale. But on the weekends we are always on the go and i spend my weekends in costume outdoors. This foundation protects as promised-- even at the beach. As for how it a...pplies: It is applied with an aplicator (though some prefer a brush) and goes on with a light coverage. In natural day light it gives a nice glow though it doesnt' cover all blemishes. On film it is comes out marvoulous! It can get shiny throughout the day however. December 5, 2007, 11:27 am

I'll never use "traditional" foundation again

    by slcltn (3 reviews)
I've been using Iredale products almost exclusively for 4 years now and I LOVE both the pressed and loose foundation powders. You will look more matte with the pressed, but after just a few minutes it mixes with the moisture and oils in your skin and looks incredibly natural (like you were born with great skin - even if yo...u weren't). As a makeup artist that has used it on women from 16 to 70 I can tell you it is also better on mature skin than the loose mineral powder - it doesn't settle into the lines the way the loose can and I find it works better with the creamer moisturizers often used by women with more mature skin. Is a Fairly Decent Mineral Makeup Base

    by Reservechic (266 reviews)

I have three compacts of this stuff in Warm Sienna, as I find that it is a fairly univeral shade for medium complexions. It gives light-to-medium coverage based on how much or little you apply. The best brush to use when it applying it is with the Handi Brush. It doesn't break me out which is a huge plus, but it goes o...n a bit too matte at first, but then it mixes with your natural oils over time. One of my main gripes about this product is its high pricetag. As, even though it is a fairly decent foundation, it truly doesn't warrant such a high price, in my opinion. LOVE this powder, lasts forever and great coverage!

    by HeyAng (29 reviews)
I was introduced to this my an esthetician who applied it after a facial. I am always suspicious of their products, but this was great! It gave great coverage, felt light and airy and was great for my skin! I even bought the expensive, but worth it, brush (instead of the puff). I have had my pressed powder for over a year n...ow! Definitely worth the money! May 21, 2008, 5:45 am

    I became a believer

    by fryingpan (8 reviews)
I was your typical full coverage liquid foundation user. I tried this after a botox treatment to cover up some redness. I was amazed at the coverage - and how smoothly it went on. what I love the most is that it wears longer on my skin and I don't get shiny like I used to. I found out about the other benefits and how good i...t was for your skin later on - lucky strike! May 6, 2008, 10:31 am

One of the best mineral products I've tried!

    by Lifeofaladybug (41 reviews)

I've tried several of the mineral make-up companies out there, trying to find a brand that works for women of color, like myself. Well, Jane Iredale is it! The PurePressed Base in Butternut is the perfect shade for me, and, unlike some other mineral companies, Jane Iredale makes the foundation in a pressed powder format, ...which is much tidier and easier to transport for touch-ups. Best foundation in the world

    by Katie79 (15 reviews)
I've been using Jane Iredale makeup since 2002 when an esthetician told me about it. It's totally non-irritating, and it's amazing how the pressed powder version of jane's mineral foundation leaves so much less shine than the loose kind. I've also tried Bare Escentuals, which is not bad (a little more coverage than Jane),... but for convenience and shine-stopping, this is my go-to product. December 7, 2007, 3:55 pm
