Carmex Jar
I prefer the Carmex tube. Same product but in a cleaner, more sanitary delivery system. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Good Old Standby
This product is mean to be medicated. Hence, why it is so powerful. It is the only thing that works when my lips are really really dry. It does have an intense smell and flavor, but it works. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love it!
My dad has been using this for years so when I got older and had chapped lips this is what I went for. I don't like the jar nearly as much as the stick or tube because it can get dirty and is harder to apply. But the product itself is the most effective I've ever found for treating dry, chapped lips. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I Used as a Teen
When I was a teenager in the late 70's, I used Carmex all the time because in the summer my lips were always chapped. I carried it with me everywhere. It did the job. Now, as an adult I want something more grown up and truly moisturizing. When you got to be 40, the medicinal smell of Carmex is not sexy. If you need to heal your lips, it's a good start. Then it's time for a tinted moisturizer. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Lips Won't Chap
This is a great formula for keeping your lips moist and saving your skin from getting chapped. Carmex has a medicine taste and stings your lips, but you know it is working. The jar makes it a little hard to apply, but it works great. — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Ick
I don't know what anyone else likes about this product. The warming sensation is awkward, and I'm not a fan of the texture either, it's like blistex which just doesn't agree with my lips for some reason. I get skieved out when I see the jar because I've know people that use this to soothe their herpes breakout or to put on a cold sore, which just grosses me out. My husband is a fan and I won't kiss him when he has it on, that's how much I don't like it. — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Good Product.
It's a good product, but I do not like this container. There is no applicator, leaving you to redip your fingers in it. If you are out in public, you touch public door handles, then dip your dirty fingers in this. Not a good system. — 5 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Drying and Burning
I tried this product because a few people told me it was good. Maybe for them but NOT for me. First, the texture was so thick and drying I had to really dig in to get some balm out for application. Secondly, it made my lips burn (and they weren't chapped, I was using it for wind protection). I can't imagine this burning would feel good on chapped lips. Third, the smell was a very strong medicinal smell. Not pleasant. I suppose if you have cold sores it would be a good drying agent. As a balm it didn't work at all. I got rid of it and will not be purchasing it again. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
