Carmex Jar Reviews

First Aid In a Pot
I have to laugh at the posted price tag they've got on here at TotalBeauty.com because it says $16.99. It's really not, it's about a dollar or less a jar so for anyone looking up reviews, don't fret. It's not made by Chanel or anything to cost that much, haha. Ok, let's get started with the review, shall we? This is my ultimate lip solution. It doesn't have the best scent and yes it does smell a bit like the pharmacy but it's really not that bothersome unless you're putting the jar up to your nose all day, it does fade. I love how this nourishes my lips and keeps them hydrated, so thanks to this lipstick doesn't ever look chunky! What's great is that this is also soothing for cracked lips or cold sores so when my lips are a little painful in the winter, I apply this and it's instant gratification. If you totally abhor the smell, I'd recommend Burt's Bees which has similar effects without the heavy scent but I feel isn't as moisturizing as this when I ultimately need it the most. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

Don't like this!
This stuff has burned my lips ever since I was a teenager. I hate how it smells, tastes and feels! It doesn'tdo anything for my lips. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great for "Winter-lips"
This is great if you get cold-sores or very chapped lips (wind-burn, too) but for everyday it's a little "gunky". — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

UNREAL!
I know my first review on this stuff talked about how I didn't like it. But recently, I tried this again for a longer period of time, and I have fallen in love! It makes my lips soft, smooth, and healthy looking :) — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

The very best!
I"m pretty sure I have a Carmex addiction. I have to keep a tube or a jar stashed in my purse, nightstand, on my bathroom counter, in my desk drawer at work, in my gym bag, and in every room in my house. Don't even get my started about the time I traveled to Italy and accidentally forget to pack my Carmex. It makes my lips smooths and moisturized and I love the way it makes them tingle. Please don't ever stop making Carmex! No other chapstick even comes close. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

An All-Around Good Balm
The Carmex Balm is just a solid lip product. The packaging is basic and has been essentially untouched for decades, as has the product inside. Both the packaging and the smell of the balm feel very "medicated," rather than cute or flashy. At the end of the day, this does what it promises. — 5 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Classic Lip Balm
I have tried everything from Burts Bees lip balm to Bodyshop lip moisturizer to plain old Vaseline but this one takes the trophy by far. I apply a generous amount before I go to sleep and BAM the next morning my lips feel heavenly soft and simply luscious. Considering the fabulous price, too, you really cannot go wrong. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Addicted ...
Let me begin by saying if you can't decide whether you'd like the tube or the jar, you definitely should choose the jar. The jar is much thicker than the tube formula and this makes for a faster fixing. I also say to get the jar because if you keep the tube in your pocket for about two hours, you'll pull out the gloss and discover that it has melted a bit. Of course, over time, it'll get back into original shape, but it still is sticky and messy in the time it is melty. With the jar, this problem isn't had at all. I've been using this product for as long as i remember and never valued it so much. it may be less than three dollars, but it's worth soo much more. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Doesn't work for me =(
Carmax in a Jar literally stings my lips and hurts. I can't use it what so ever. The product is affordable though however it just varies because my parents love using Carmax, I just can't. Either will be a hit or miss product for you. In my case, a miss! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
