Carmex Original Carmex Stick Reviews

Wonderful
When I first started dating my husband many years ago, he was wondering why I was applying a regular lip balm (can't recall what I used). I asked what he used. He plays the trumpet and said that only medicated products keep your pout in condition to keep playing without having skin torn from them. I took that to heart and started buying Blistex and Carmex®. Carmex® was invented in the 1930s and sold to pharmacists for those suffering from chapped lips and cold sores. I LOVE it! It's one of the few I can apply overnight and still have on my lips in the morning. It has an SPF of 15 (yes!). Moisturizers in this little powerhouse of a tube include petrolatum, cocoa seed butter, candelilla wax, paraffin, beeswax, and meadowfoam seed oil. Salicylic acid exfoliates, while camphor gives a gentle tingle, reminding you that it's working — 1 week, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Carmex has always been on my fave list, and the tube makes it better than the original (in a pot). — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Love!
This product is great. As good as the original tub, but much easier to apply. I still prefer the tube, but the stick tastes and smells less medicated — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Classic!
I love this. This is just your good old fashioned Carmex, just much easier to use. This is the best treatment for dry, chapped lips I've ever used (and I have used many). It's a bit medicinal but...in my opinion that's what makes it work so well! — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

love it love it love it
recently my lips were more chapped and drier than usual. Nothing seemed to work on them. I decided to try this in desperation since it was only 98 cents at Walmart. Overnight my lips were soft again. It does taste medicine-y so not sure I'd kiss a guy when wearing this, but at least I know I won't exfoliate his lips with mine. — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 9 people said helpful

Must Have/Cult Classic/Great on the Windiest Days
I can't say enough good things about this lip balm. I resisted and tried to stay with Chapstick and Softlip for years... but after one use with Carmex cherry, I was hooked. I walk to work every day and even on the windiest coldest day of the year, nothing can penetrate this balm nor does it come off if you lick your lips. It's perfect, everything you want in a moisturizing balm. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Great for summer
The SPF factor helps keep lips protected while the product deeply moisturizes. I have tubes everywhere! — 1 week, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

My fav go-to lip balm!
I have been using Carmex for years and this has always been my go-to lip balm, the lip balm that I always come back to after experimenting with a bunch of other lip balms. You can't go wrong with it! It goes on really creamy and it stays that way for a long time, keeping your lips moisturized even after snacking and eating. I like to apply it on top of my lipstick to prevent the lipstick from drying out my lips. Some people don't like the smell because they think it smells like medicine, but Carmex makes this is other scents as well. My favorite scent is strawberry, go give it a try! : — 2 weeks, 1 day agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful
