    Good shine and medium hold

Smells great as you would expect. I have short spikey hair so it really does shine it up but you have to spray it and then piece out your hair to activite the shine. It's a pretty heavy hairspray so you do look like you have product in. Might work for shorter hair better than longer. Despite my review I use it everyday because it's so hard to find a medium hold hairspray that actually does provide shine.

    My all-time favorite hair spray

The two most important factor in hairspray are smell and hold. This has both. The smell is superb people tell me I smell great when I use it. The hold is perfect, although I can't brush through it for a few hours. I used to use aveda's firmata, but it was way to firm. I have fine hair, so I can only use one product at a time or my hair will weigh down and look "gunky." The price is good and it lasts, especially if you use just a few sprays...which is all you need!

This hairspray is brilliant for someone with shorter hair - thick long hair like mine, it does not hold.

Weights down fine hair; Smells heavenly, though....

Yes, it smells of the strong Curesscence blend that's instantly recognizable as Aveda (which is mainly why I even use it anymore), but alas, this medium-hard hold spray is sticky in humidity and weights down any volume for us fine-haired lasses. Living with curls in a tropical clime, one's always hoping for products that take on humidity, but it's seldom that they do; Aveda Brilliant Hair Spray moreOES hold a style when the weather's wet, it just looks equally drippy as the air gets more-so....

    Natural hold

Ok... so this spray is not for those looking to freeze a throw-back 80s coif creation. It is THE answer to finishing and preserving your style without looking like you chiseled your hair out of modeling clay. You can still run your fingers through your hair, lunch outside on the patio of your favorite cafe and although the wind will leave your hair effortlessly whipping around... as soon as you morestep inside and remind your hair of it's preferred location with a few run-throughs of your fingers your style is easily restored. No effort. Your hair is locked into the style you want, but with no traces of a "hairsprayed" style. It smells beautiful and natural... everytime my hair moves I catch a whiff of my scented locks and I'm refreshed.

Was looking for a more 'natural' hairspray since my hair lies across my forehead all day, love Aveda, decided I'd try this stuff. It smells SO GOOD, is a nice flexible hold, and brushes out easily too. Love the stuff
