HORRIBLE STICKY MESS!
At one time I wore my hair spiky, and the hair stylist suggested this wax-like product. It is terrible. It will spike and separate the hair, but it leaves the hair feeling greasy and sticky. And, it smells awful. Please test this before you buy it. Maybe it's me, but that was my reaction to this horrible product that I threw away, without thinking about returning it! Great product!
My boyfriend buys this for his hair, but I steal a little from time to time to style my pixie cut. This is a really great product that gives excellent texture for styling without any greasy look. You don't REALLY need very much but if you overuse it, it won't make your hair look dirty or gross. The scent is also nice without being too heavy or overwhelming. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Piece-y, not greasy
Sure it's expensive, but a little goes a long way, making it surprisingly cost-effective. When I wear my wavy hair curly I swirl misbehaving curls around a finger lightly coated with this product to give the curl shape. When I wear my hair straight, I emulsify it between my palms and run it through my hair, concentrating on the ends for a piece-y look that stays put. I wish it was a bit better at controling flyaways so I could use it on my crown when I wear ponytails. Also disappointing was that when I cut my hair into a pixie, it didn't offer the texture I needed. One of the best
I've tried many waxes and pomades and find that this has everything that I'm looking for - light hold, piecey texture, non-sticky. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Make the Fly-Aways Behave
I love this product. My stylist suggested it for my very fine hair, which tends to stick up and float all over the place if I don't rein it in. I use Aveda Control Paste when I've finished styling my hair: I take a little, tiny bit of it and rub it between my palms to warm it up, then run it over the crown of my head where hairs tend to sitck up. Then I use the rest to push the front layers of my hair to the side where I want them. I've found that a lot of products for control are too heavy for my fine hair, and this isn't. Plus it lasts FOREVER; you only have to use a little bit to get the results you want. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

My favorite hair product
I actually use control paste for those days when I'm not straightening my wavy hair. On dry or damp hair, it encourages curl and, as the name suggests, it adds the perfect amount of control for me. Unlike some products I have used specifically for curly hair, it does not seem to to leave my hair stiff at all. A little bit of the product goes a long way on my fine but thick hair, so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth as well. And the cherry on top is the scent, which I love. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Goes a long way, great
I like this product alot, you only need a tiny bit and it helps. It doesn't make your hair hard or crunchy. It can create nice pieces of hair but your hair will still move. Great product — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best paste ever!
I have very curly, coarse hair and wear it straight. I've always had an issue keeping fly aways and frizzies under control, especially around my face and my part. I warm a tiny bit of this paste in the palms of my hands and run my hands over the top of my hair when I'm done flat ironing it and the frizzies and fly aways are in control. I can also warm a bit on my finger tips and apply to the ends if I want a piecey look. This does not build up, is easy to wash out and "reactivates" with a little heat. I like the earthy scent it has too. You need such a small amount that this jar will last you a very very long time. — 4 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
