Oily hair will look oilier

When I received this as a gift, I thought it was a used product because it felt half-empty. Since I had no idea how this works, I went to an Aveda store. A nice sales person showed me how to use it; this powder transformed into liquid to add some volume to my hair, but I was not very convinced. I went home and applied this "portion" powder to my hair roots as directed. My hands were messy, but more importantly, my hair got smelly and looked oily. Although my hair appeared to be a bit fuller and bouncier, it looked like I did not wash my hair for a few days. — 2 years, 6 months ago

I have the good fortune of getting my mother's thin hair. My mom has always been an Aveda fan but she recently showed me this stuff and I HAD to have it!! Handy for travel, good on hair.

This is one of my favorite products for traveling because it comes in a small container, and doesn't take up space in my luggage. I've found that you can apply it to wet or dry hair, with comparable success. The product when it comes out of the bottle is a little weird. It looks like a powder, but feels cool. As soon as you squish your hands together, it seems like half the product goes on to the floor, which is a negative. Magically adds volume and life to limp bangs or stringy flat ironed hair

I love this product. It doesn't leave your hair filmy and sticky like many firm hold HAIR SPRAYS. I first used this product in an Aveda hair salon. It's great to use during the day when your hair has gone limp or your bangs are hanging in your eyes and need some lift. I bought this after I read about it in a beauty magazine. My son was almost three months old and my hair stated to fall out! This product really gave me lift and helped camoflage my thining hair. A friend just tried this on me and yeah... it's pretty awesome. It didn't just give me great volume, but that volume lasted through the next day! I have thick hair, but I flat iron it and have naturally oily roots so my hair is often flat. I can't use a lot of product or my hair gets oily faster. The best product EVER for thin hair!!!

Ok, so I've tried every product out there from the salon stuff to the inexpensive stuff sold at major retailers and this is by far the best thing I've ever used. My hair is very fine and thin. While at a new salon with a new stylist, she whips out this little (and quite expensive) bottle of powder. She sprinkles it in her palm with a little bit of mousse and works it into my hair. She blow dries it and my hair looks much fuller (as it usually does coming out of the salon). I decide to buy this little bottle and give it a try at home. She tells me that if I don't like it, I can bring it back and get my money back. What do I have to lose? I absolutely LOVE it! I have found nothing that works like this stuff! And that little expensive bottle lasted almost 6 months so it wasn't so expensive after all. Ladies, if you have thin/fine hair, you have to get yourself a bottle of this.
