I love this shampoo, especially when I used it with the coordinating conditioner. I didn't expect the shampoo alone to brighten up my natural red hair as well as it did, but the few times I used it without the conditioner, it really did still make my hair color glow. Everyone raves about this product. I guess if you have red hair with orange tones and you want that you should use it. I am a natural blonde with rosey cheeks that went red. My color looked fantastic from the salon but was starting to fade. This shampoo seemed to get the best reviews for red shampoo so i tried it. Aveda Madder Root Shampoo
Yes, this is an expensive shampoo, but it does lift and refresh my color, meaning, it brings out my auburn color, ( which is tinted) much better than do the name line brands. I don't use it daily, but keep it for mid month and special occasions, that way it's a bit more affordable. I don't mind the low susability, Who needs all that lather, just makes one have to rinse forever to be sure it's rins...read moreed clean before conditioning! This is a specialty shampoo in my opinion. Not meant for everyday useage, excepting of course, by those whom price is no object.
