This haircare pair is definitely a pick me up first thing in the morning. The peppermint scent is quite invigorating, not only to my senses, but to my scalp as well. I was worried about the scent of rosemary as it is not my favorite, but there is not even a hint of the scent in either the shampoo or conditioner. The rosemary is simply added to the formula to help protect hair from the environment.
I will admit that I wish the conditioner was a bit more moisturizing as I tend to like thick and heavy conditioners (that do not weigh my hair down, of course). But this conditioner did the job of keeping my hair smooth through the day, so in the end, the job was done. February 16, 2008, 6:47 am

One of the best smelling products I have ever used. Works like a charm on thin, fine hair, which my daughters have. It gives body, doesn't weigh down the strands at all. However, I have thick hair and it seems like it doesn't go very far to clean. I need to use a quarter of a bottle on shoulder length hair. I highly recommend it for people with fine hair, but if you have thick hair, move on to another product! November 30, 2007, 12:18 pm

But not for dry hair! I always read bad reviews of this shampoo from people with dry hair. Well, it's not meant for dry hair, so don't use it! For my fine, oily hair, this is great. It does sometimes dry it out a bit too much, but a dab of conditioner makes it all better. It also has the unexpected extra benefit of calming my itchy scalp. Love the smell. This product uses rosemary and mint which are two drying ingredients. It will give lift but only because it dries out the hair. This product is really meant for people with oily hair and scalp. If you have dry hair already, stay away. It does work really well as a detoxifier though. If it's not working for your hair, but you love the smell, Aveda also has a Rosemary mint body wash and body lotion which are AWESOME! November 28, 2007, 7:24 am

I have a head full of thin, fine hair and am always searching for beauty products to add some oomph to my 'do. Unfortunately, this product doesn't deliver. Although it leaves me hair feeling clean and smelling great, don't buy it for its' volumizing properties because they are sorely lacking. If you're just looking for a great smelling shampoo that leaves your hair clean and not greasy, this one will work fine. November 16, 2007, 11:21 pm

Aveda's Rosemary Mint Shampoo stays in pretty steady rotation. I like to try different things, but I generally use a small bottle in between each new thing I try. Rosemary Mint is lovely in the morning - invigorating without being too astringent. The rosemary and mint balance each other well, each refusing to let the other take over. It works well as a clarifying shampoo, but doesn't strip everything out, leaving my hair too dry. October 17, 2007, 6:44 pm
