More natural look

by yvonne4 (2 reviews)
I am 54 and after years of using a liquid foundation, I knew I needed to do something different to make it look more natural and to minimize the fine lines. Bought this item , and I really like it. It is easy to apply , evens out the completion . Plus it is talc free and better for your face.11/29/2007

April 29, 2008, 11:15 am My skin is extremely sensitive. I had been trying to use a well known mineral makeup that was fairly expensive. It actually would make my skin sort of burn and itch. I also found out that the bismuth that it contained would contribute to cystic acne, like I needed any help getting another breakout! I decided I would try this. It was going to be my last attempt at a foundation that was good for my skin, felt light, and covered well. It really evened out my skin and looked natural! I also have no problems with the itchy burning feeling! April 29, 2008, 11:15 am

February 5, 2008, 3:32 pm I first used this foundation after applying moisturizer and used the sponge tip to blend the makeup into my skin. You sqeeze out a small amount from a hole in the center of the sponge and apply. I found this method applied a much thicker coat than I liked. The formula dries to a powdery finish pretty quickly, so it was hard to spread it around quickly enough before it dried - even when I did small sections of my face at a time. Now I forgo the applicator and squeeze a pea-sized amount onto my fingers and blend on - sometimes I even mix it with some moisturizer to help thin out the formula a little and make it easier to spread. I like how this make-up wears. It definitely helps with preventing late-day shine. My only complaint is that, while it doesn’t make my skin dry, it itself seems to dry out during the day and settles a little. I have to remember to do a quick finger blend about 2:00 to smooth it back out. It’s certainly not my dream make-up, but for now it is pretty darn good. February 5, 2008, 3:32 pm

April 30, 2008, 9:11 pm I have oily, acne-prone skin that is prone to scarring. My sister had bought this foundation for herself but ended up not using it because it wasn't her skin tone. Lucky for me, it matched my skin tone perfectly, so I have been using it ever since. This is a great foundation if you are looking for medium to heavy coverage. It gives a very natural look and I find that I don't need concealer. I apply this product using a synthetic foundation brush. I found that my acne does not get better or worse with this product. It wears pretty well, maybe 6-8 hours, but the longer you have it on, the more shiny-faced you get, so I recommend using a powder in conjunction with this product or carrying blotting sheets. If you like the coverage of Bare Minerals (and that made you break out) or Make Up For Ever's Matte Velvet , then I would recommend this product. It gives the coverage of mineral makeup minus the mess and it is more affordable than MUFE products. April 30, 2008, 9:11 pm

I really love the Physicians Formula Loose Minerals, so I would definetely choose those over the liquid! I found that it was also difficult to find my shade- there wasn't very many to choose from! I love the fact that it is for acne prone or sensitive skin, though. May 12, 2008, 1:45 pm

Not only did it not break my skin out but it was a very natural color and very light feeling. I don't feel like I am even wearing any foundation when it is on. It's applicator makes it very easy to put on and is less messy then other foundations. I have recieved many compliments on how nice my skin looks which makes me feel more confident. Full Coverage

If you are looking for really good coverage that does not look caked on, this is for you. It is like a very smooth concealer for your whole face. It is very hard to wash completely off with just a mild make up remover. March 7, 2008, 2:58 pm

I definelty liked this foundation better than the coordinating powder. I liked it, although, not real sure what the results would have been since I only used it a few times and quite after I stopped using the powder. February 27, 2008, 2:24 pm

    Still not sure.

    by kittielover (40 reviews)
Okay, I have been using this product for at least a few months now. It makes my skin oily, but does not irate it or make me break out. It is better on my face than other foundations, but it seems not cover so well as I had hoped.. I'm confused as to whether I like it or not. September 2, 2008, 5:11 pm

    Use this everyday.

    by cry5tal985 (14 reviews)
I was looking for an affordable mineral foundation so this is what I got. It works great and I used it everyday. It provides great coverage, lasts all day, and doesn't make me breakout. I think the built in applicator is a good idea and it works well, but I apply it with a brush to avoid germs. July 25, 2008, 2:16 am
