Good product, yummy smell, convenient
EireItalia (271 reviews)I love this 2 in 1 product. The sugar side is so yummy smelling I just want to eat it (but I don't!) It is good for a quick exfoliation. The balm side seals lips with moisture and keeps them soft and smooth. It portable and can be stashed in your purse for lip care on the go. It's not rich enough for overnight use but for daytime it's perfect. When applied lightly it can be worn under lipstick for extra moisture. The cute flip up mirror is a plus for this product and application of other lip products. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Disappointing
Jessica8 (223 reviews)I'm always on the lookout for good vegan lip balms, so I was really excited to try this one by Tarte. The packaging is cute and clever, but the product itself is subpar. I found the exfoliator hard to use--I expected it to leave a layer of scrub on my lips, but it just kind of rubbed back and forth without leaving anything behind. I didn't notice that it had much of a softening effect. The balm was even more disappointing. It had a very waxy texture, and it didn't feel anywhere near moisturizing enough. I have had to apply it repeatedly before bed, and I still wake up in the night with uncomfortably parched lips. I apply it before I leave for work, and I have to use another balm as soon as I get to my desk. Not a fan. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Buying Guide
10 Best Lipsticks -
Remarkable packaging, unremarkable product
meg_whitmore_dipaolo (9 reviews)I bought this because I really need a good lip exfoliator. I am one of those people addicted to lip balms in the worst way: gotta have some at all times. But I still wind up with flaky lips. So I ordered this online, not even knowing about the packaging, just knowing that I like Tarte and $12 didn't seem TOO pricey if it came with a good exfoliator and a rich balm. The packaging blew me away. I wish all lipsticks came like this. A little mirror? Wonderful! But totally unnecessary for this particular product, wouldn't you say? It's a colorless lip treatment you just rub on, why do you need a mirror? You don't. As for the product itself, I wasn't too impressed. I like the rough side OK, because it's pretty easy to just rub on, but the balm side is bo-ring and not very effective. You don't feel it. My stick is worn down on one side (can you guess which?) I wouldn't buy this again, and now I think $12 is far too much. And it's the packaging you are probably really paying for, which, while clever and awesome, is useless here. Sell the product for $8, improve the balm, and lose the fancy mirror stuff, and it'd be something I'd buy again and again. Meanwhile, if everyone used this fantastic mirror packaging on all lipsticks and glosses I would be ecstatic! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
