It is relatively easy to clean the hair and shampoo residue out. Just pull out as mush hair as you can without damaging the brush. Then soak the brush in soapy water overnight to remove any residue from shampoo or styling products/sprays, and then soak the brush for a few hours again only this time use plain warm water.
