Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Conditioner with Seasilk Reviews

Conditioner
When I bought this insanely expensive shampoo, I also spent the extra money for the conditioner that goes with it. I do not remember if any additional styling products were available. So, I got home and was super eager to give this stuff a try. A little bit of information about my hair: it is very dry, frizzes unbelievably easy and is so thick that you would think I have the hair of three women on my head. It is medium-long, falling about to three inches beneath my collarbone. I am always trying to grow my hair longer and am willing to spend the money to do it, which is why I bought into this product line. When I stepped into the shower, the first thing I noticed about the shampoo was the scent—it has a difficult to define smell, but it was not too strong and smelled like a higher end perfume. The next thing that I noticed was the lack of lather. I ordinarily use sulfate free shampoos and so am not accustomed to a lot of suds, but this shampoo felt very runny in my fingers and barely made any lather at all. When I went back under the water to rinse it out, it felt sticky, and didn’t rinse clean at all. I kept rinsing and rinsing, but my hair never felt like I got all the shampoo out…it felt like the residue of a cheap soap. Still, I went ahead and busted out the conditioner, hoping the experience would improve. The conditioner also had a light, fresh smelling scent, which was pleasing to me. However, the consistency fell far below my expectations. I would think that it would be a thick, creamy conditioner, but it felt watery and low quality, like a hand lotion from the dollar store. I spread it into my hair and waited for two minutes, hoping for magic. However, I had the same issue when rinsing that I found when I tried the shampoo—I rinsed and rinsed, but my hair never felt clean. My hair was sticking together in clumps, and was an absolute mess. To get the full experience, I decided to go ahead and style as usual, just to be fair to see the results. What a nightmare. Because I had to rinse so much and for so long, my hair felt even more dried out and stripped. The stickiness did not go away even after I blow dried, and that tacky feeling remained. What a horrible product. Avoid this at all costs—especially since its cost is so high! — 3 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love this conditioner
This conditioner is rich and creamy and leaves my hair feeling moisturized but not weighed down. I think it helps my hair with shine as well. I like the scent also. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

My favorite thus far
I tried this in a combo with the shampoo and the shampoo left my scalp really dry and itchy and more flaky than normal, however, when I used it in combination with the conditioner, my hair was the shiniest and softest it had ever been - but my scalp hated me. So I can't use the shampoo, but I keep the conditioner in my shower and my hair doesn't have the same effect since I use a different shampoo now, but the conditioner is highly concentrated and works like a dream. — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love it!
I have tight curly hair and this conditioner, along with the shampoo, gives my hair a lot of moisture and detangles it as well. I love it. Sucks that its so expensive for such a small bottle, but its worth it in the long run. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Fabulous for Fine Damaged Color Treated Hair
I try new hair products all the time but I always go back to this because I've had the best results. It deeply moisturizes my hair without weighing it down. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

great for wavy hair, smells fantastic
I love the way this conditioner makes my hair feel. I have always had wavy hair, but after moving to a desert-like climate, my hair has looked a bit lackluster. This conditioner makes my hair so soft and has added definition to my wavy curls. It is definitely on the expensive side, but it works so much better than most conditioners. — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great Shampoo
Really good product, paraben and sulfate free and extremely moisturizing. Smells great. This conditioner is everything and more. A really nice break for dry or damaged hair. Makes it very soft. A bit expensive but worth it. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Love this stuff
This conditioner smells fresh and soothing in my opinion but what it does for my hair is nothing short of a miracle. It makes it frizz free and I can feel the moisture in it long after its been dried which I havnt found with any other conditioner - I have very hard to manager super thick, wavy and frizzy hair and this tames it! It is super expensive but worth every single penny! — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
