Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick Reviews
-
Didn't work at ALL.
LipglossandSpandex (487 reviews)This deodorant didn't work for me. Gross fact: for awhile I had terribly dark, itchy armpits. It felt so incredibly uncomfortable, like I just HAD to scratch it. The doctor said it was probably eczema, and likely caused by my deodorant, since that's the only product goes on your armpit. I had been using the standard Secret antiperspirant combined with deodorant product, and decided to switch to something without aluminum or alum, since I'd read online that some people have an allergic reaction to it and have itchy armpits (my grandpa actually has that problem). Even though I'd been using the same type of product for years (Secret), I figured it wouldn't hurt to try something more natural, and the reviews for Tom's of Maine Deodorant were really good. Another TMI fact for you—I sweat. A LOT. So I wasn't thrilled about not having an antiperspirant, but I was pretty desperate to get my armpits to stop itching, and all of the reviews promised that you wouldn't smell bad (although you'd be sweaty). I picked out the apricot scent. It did in fact smell very nice in the package. I liked that it was the standard twist up deodorant packaging. However, the product itself did nothing for me. I was sweaty AND smelly. It was almost worse than not using deodorant, because my armpits smelled like body odor AND apricot! Even on days when I wasn't physically active (sitting in a chair at work mostly), this didn't deodorize at all! My eczema did seem to get a little bit better, and I do appreciate that Tom's of Maine sells only natural, sustainable and responsible products. However, this particular one didn't work for me at all. Fortunately, I bought a new stick of deodorant WITH anti-perspirant (maybe also Secret?) and my eczema continued to go away. — 10 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Great Scent
Stef42678 (479 reviews)I love this deoderant because not only is it all natural, but it protects odors all day. I absolutely love the fruity scent of the apricot variety and the lavendar is really great too. These sticks do a great job at masking odors and last all day. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Had to use once, haven't used it since
italiaca (222 reviews)In a pinch, I was on a trip and didn't have my usual Secret product with me, so I tried this product. It smells okay, but I don't like the lack of anti-perspirant. It's not strong enough to hold me throughout the day. I was worried about wetness and odor, and it seemed to wear off quicky. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not strong enough for a man
steadyeddie925 (350 reviews)My wife tries to stick to natural based products but this deodorant is not enough for me. I have to stick to my trusted Degree. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Best deodorant!
pure.life (323 reviews)I use to wear Dove, Degree, and Suave but they all irritated my underarms. I have been using Tom's for the past 6 months or so and have not had any major issues. The different scents work well with different body chemistry's so make sure you take that into consideration. Great buy! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

HG natural deodorant
radar626 (318 reviews)I tried this deodorant as a last ditch attempt to find a natural deodorant. I had a horrible reaction to the crystal deodorants, and tried others like Kiss My Face and Jason which didn't last much past lunchtime. I purchased this in Apricot and I love it. Even on hot days the most BO I get is just the scent from the deodorant when I am hot. It doesn't stop sweating, so for dark clothes on a hot, sweaty day I have to use another product that has an antiperspirant in it, but this isn't too often. I didn't have a reaction, and my armpits got softer which made shaving easier. — 2 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
