I have the eggplant purple. I bought it on a whim because it looked really pretty in the pot. putting it on wasn't very easy and it wasn't as true color as I expected it to be. It appeared more of a brownish red than the shimmery purple it looks like in the pot. I have no words, first off let me explain it is VERY hard for me to apply liner to my top lids, my eye lids are kind of odd and it takes forever to get them perfect, usually I can line them well enough but with this stuff? Forget it. I have several of these and adore them. They have an incredible color payoff and really stay in place all day. I didn't care for the brush they came with, but used my own brush instead. I have not had a problem with them drying out at all. I don't like the brush it came with. It's too thick and wasn't able to paint a thin line. If you like thin eyeliner, it can be achieved but get an pointed eyeliner brush, not slanted. Color was pigmented. Wears well throughout the day, hardly any smudges. I really like gel type or cream eyeliners, and for the money, this is a great product! It applies so smooth, and the crummy little brush that comes with it isn't very good, but there are plenty of other good eyeliners brushes avaliable that work great with this product. I didn't smudge after hours of wear, and it didn't flake or irritate my eyes. I like this better than MAC Fluidline because it dries quicker and I don't have to worry about not blinking. L'Oreal did a great job with this, even the little jar is very nice. I just made my first purchase of this liner and am hooked. Though the brush is a bit small, it applies the liner like a dream and it only takes a few tries to get amazing cat eyes, thin and tight lines, whatever. I read the reviews before buying and have been washing and drying my brush between uses to keep it from stiffening with product. I wasn't sure about the brown color in the jar, but it goes on as a nice, warm sable brown. "Straight to the Point"

Napolean Perdis, Stila Smudge Pots, Clinique Cream Eyeliner, MAC Fluidline, etc. - Now? L'Oreal's HIP Cream Eyeliner. The packaging is basically a glass jar with a plastic screw lid. It comes with a brush but let me tell you about the brush, it's mediocre. While the convenience of a brush sounds like a deal, I found it too thick to create winged lines or for the waterline; I'm not really aiming for the gypsy look. It isn't flattering on me. The brush is also a little stiff, rigid and can scratch the lids if you aren't careful. I do recommend using another eyeliner brush if you're looking for more precise detailing. The lasting power of this eyeliner is impressive, just about as long as the luxe brands but it's too bad it's near luxe price. For five dollars more, you're at the Clinique counter buying their version or perhaps even MAC. After it's reached it's staying capability, which for me, I'd say it was eight or nine hours throughout the day, it flaked a bit.
