Les Exclusifs is right. You can't find this imaginative collection of fragrances anywhere -- except select Chanel boutiques and Bergdorf Goodman. But all 10 scents (which are named for details of Coco Chanel's life) are well worth the hunt. For $175, you get a large bottle that could last years. The eau de cologne leaves a lighter scent than perfume and feels more contemporary (and non-grandmotherly).

    Love, love, love these scents. Eau de Cologne is bright, fresh, feminine without being flowery. The neroli is uplifting - this is a great scent for tough days, job interviews, or stressful circumstances. The lasting power is not great - my only quibble with this scent - but it's easy to carry a small vial and re-apply. ...You'll WANT to spritz this often anyway! The Bois des Iles is a delightful, sandalwood-based scent that DOES last. It's a lovely scent for fall and winter. Neither scent is likely to trigger the scent-phobic among us either (my fragrance hating SO likes both!) February 19, 2008, 9:17 am

    Beige is the newest Les Exclusif, and it's gorgeous. One of the best I've smelled in a long time. A dash of white flowers, a dash of honey and hawthorne. Hard to describe but beautiful. Feminine, elegant. April 18, 2009, 8:30 pm

    To Die For Parfums

    I am a huge Chanel junkie - and while in Las Vegas last April I was able to sample all the scents at the Chanel Boutique. I walked away with the Gardenia fragrance in the huge bottle and have worn it every day since except in the evenings when I still wear Coco chanel. If you can get your hands on a bottle of these scents... they are truly like no other parfum. You will adore them. Would you expect any less of Chanel than a top performing product line? even if it is parfum? September 30, 2008, 8:34 pm
