This is the first dry shampoo that I saw and tried. I loved the idea and am now a dry shampoo fiend. This product just isn't on par with many of the others out there now. I'd love to see Bumble and Bumble rework this because so many of their other products are wonderful and they are capable of great things. I purchased this in the brown shade and the ONE good thing about these being in different colors is that you won't get the white cast that so many dry shampoos leave. The horrible thing about a colored (spray) dry shampoo like this is the mess. It colors your actual scalp which does not look natural. Your bathroom will also be covered in this stuff and it isn't the easiest to wash away from your counter top, sink, walls, etc. The spray nozzle is quite stiff so you cannot control how much to spray so you usually end up spraying too much. I will say that this is good at soaking up excess oil from your scalp. My friend was using this as a dry shampoo while we were camping. I borrowed it and I did not like it at all. It was like using baby powder in my hair. Not very good

Color is all wrong
I tried this in "blondish" and was very disappointed. It worked ok as a dry shampoo/root booster, but the color got all over everything and was WAY too dark (and my hair is a dark blonde). I ended up giving it to my mom, who has brown hair. The color worked better for her, but she never used it again after showing up to a meeting with brown streaks all over her hands. Bottom line: the color is too dark and doesn't stay put. It's also pretty expensive for a tiny little bottle. I use bumble to bumble blonde hair powder on my brunette colored hair to cover the gray in between hair coloring appointments and after shampoos tomhelp hide my thinning hair. If your hair falls out due to stress, or anything at all, get this!
I have had two stressful events in my life that caused my dark hair to fall out at an alarming rate. There were patches all over my head and they were unbearable. This powder spray allowed me to spray over these areas and make it look as though my hair wasn't missing in areas. Thankfully, over time, both times my hair grew back, but this was a life saver during these two times....after all, if you are going through enough stress that you're losing hair over it, the last thing you need is to have added stress of missing hair!!!! Can't live without!
My hair has been thinning for years. Until I can figure out how to get my hair back I will continue to appreciate this product! It gives me instant fullness and colors my scalp to hide the baldness. My hair stylist said khloe Kardashian uses this to make her part look fuller. I was skeptical but as soon as he sprayed it I felt and saw years come off and sexiness come back. Bumble Hair Powder
This has a variety of uses! I can't live with out it! People do need to realize it's not going to magically shampoo your hair but it does absorb oil and lift limp locks, unlike baby powder(never mind your hair won't smell like a baby's bottom). Absolutely great for teasing as well! you have to know how to use it
i work with bumble and bumble hair powder daily on other people and i myself have it in red for my red hair. you can't spray it ON your head, it needs to be about nine inches away. and you have to spray it in spurts. this is not 80's hairspray, ladies, do not use it as such. i will admit, when i first got it about 3 years ago before i worked at a salon, i was not impressed either BECAUSE I WAS USING IT WRONG. the red dots would come out and it looked like my head was bleeding or something. spray lightly, and more towards your hair at the roots, not your head and not that much. you only need a little and only in spurts. (if you feel the cold aerosol blasts on your head, you are TOO CLOSE.) and lift your hair, spray under sections. not all over everything and not on the very top. also, tease your hair a little when you're done. you're hair will have way more volume that if using hairspray or just alone. i love this product. if you have bought it and are disappointed with it, just play around with it some using some of my pointers and i bet you'll start to see what i'm talking about. i'm gonna give it an 7, bc i know it's not exactly easy to use if you don't work at a salon and understand how.
