Dermatologist recommended isn't always the best for my skin
I have very sensitive and acne-prone skin. After an intense pulse light treatment, my dermatologist recommended I use this cleansesr because it's so gentle. My skin is accustomed to the exfoliating and cleansing powers of Clinique. After two days of using this, my pores are clogged and my skin starts to break out. Once I recover from the IPL treatment, I can't wait to get back to Clinique to clear out my skin. Doesn't bother my rosecea
Most cleansers are very irritating. This one cleans my face and doesn't dry out, irritate, or make my face red. It does not remove eye makeup very well. It does clean off other makeup though. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
I have heard so many good things about this product, so I had to try it out. Unfortunately, it wasn't really effective for me. It didn't really remove my makeup, and I am really oily and even after using it, my skin wasn't really clean. It didn't touch my eye makeup very well, and there are far better products availiable for people like me with oily skin. My mom has really dry skin, so I gave it to her. She doesn't wear makeup, so this is a good product for her. The search continues...
There are plenty of good things about this cleanser. It doesn't strip your skin, it's simple, it is supposed to help balance your skin. I was excited to see if this made the difference for my skin, but no. I have fairly oily skin and mild acne, usually under control that flares up with hormones, but this cleanser did nothing to alleviate it. Also, after several weeks of use, I noticed I have developed a lot of blackheads on my nose and chin. Not strong enough
This product didn't leave me with that "clean" feeling I love so well. My skin still felt like it had a layer of something on it, and I found I had to use it twice in a row to the the results I wanted. Best drugstore cleaner period
I have used Cetaphil on and off for years and always get great results. It never dries out my face and takes off makeup pretty well (some trouble removing waterproof stuff) leaving my face feeling clean and soft. I like to use this in the summertime as sort of an in-between cleanser. If my skin is feeling particularly yuck after a hot, humid day, I like to do a quick wash with this cleanser rather than the stuff I use for my morning and nighttime routines. I love how gentle it is as well. It works well on sunburned skin since it doesn't contain fragrance or alcohol or any sort of exfoliating agent. Use it with a cool washcloth to clean the sunburned areas. It leaves them feeling much less tight and soothed without feeling heavy or greasy. Great for sensitive skin
