As Matrix's alternative to the popular Sleek.look straightening shampoo, this green bottle of fruity cleanser claims to keep the curls, but lose the frizz. It works as a build-up remover and prep for the line's conditioners and styling products, and contains "long lasting polymers" to flatten. While sleeking silicone and hydrating glycerin define most curls, those who have thicker hair and can afford the bump in price might need the added moisturizers in Bumble and bumble's Curl Conscious Shampoo.

    Middle of the road

    I have thin naturally curly hair. I straighten my hair a lot and I can also curl it up to look "perm curly". the more you wear your hair curly the more your hair will be trained to curl. Curl.life is not as moisturizing as other shampoo's. But it does help add slight more volume and does work to enhance curl i...f you follow up with a product and a blow dryer to "scrunch" hair. Defuse hair if possible. Remember to much product will weight hair down and curl will not form. That is why this shampoo is not as moisturizing. It does not want to weigh hair down.     The Shampoo for Curly Hair

    I have been a long time fan of matrix products and was convinced that the so sleek shampoo and conditioner were the only products with enough intensity to balance my curly hair until I discovered this product. The Curl Life shampoo provides the perfect balance of moisture and frizz control without leaving your hair limp a...nd lifeless.     not for coarse, thick hair

    this shampoo is pretty good and smells great, but the I have to use so much shampoo to distribute the product evenly through my hair that the price becomes an issue. November 10, 2008, 3:20 pm

    I think the entire curling line is a flop. All the products smell horrible and don't deliver their promises. This shampoo, as stated earlier, doesn't smell good. It reminds me of vegetables. It also doesn't moisturize my hair, nor does it volumize it. It does clean it though...as all shampoo should do. At least you get a bi...g bottle that makes it a good deal unlike from obscenely pricey brands like Ojon and Frederic Fekkai. August 3, 2008, 2:25 am

    Not Thrilled

    Maybe my hair is just too naturally curly but I didn't really care for this product. I bought it to try and tame/smooth my curls. Instead, it made them too tight. Plus, this shampoo has a really unpleasant odor. This might be better for people with straight/wavy hair. July 8, 2008, 8:08 am

    Great shampoo

    I borrow this from my mom sometimes and I love what the creamy, nice smelling shampoo does for my curls. They look simply lovely when they dry, but I have thin hair. May 29, 2008, 1:51 pm
