Maybelline New York Define-A-Lash Washable Lengthening Mascara Reviews

Mascara? What Mascara, Maybelline?
I could make a fortune if I could sell back to companies all of the mascaras which didn't work for me. This is "front and center" among them. The wand was difficult to work with, the product so thin in texture that I tried to build coats for any length at all. All I did was tint my lashes. From a company that produces some amazing products, this was a complete and total disappointment. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

One of the worst
This is one of the worst mascaras I ever used. Even after two coats it looked like there was nothing on. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Ugh
The formula is VERY thin, it can't clump there's nothing TO clump! I had to wash the applicator off and dip it back in the tub just to make sure I was actually getting mascara on it! Not worth it for upper lashes, but for the lower that's a different story, its good enough. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

I actually kind of like it.
I like it and here is why: I prefer length over volume and this mascara worked for me. I have thin eyelashes, and this mascara gave me a little volume and decent length. For me, it did not clump, it did a good job. I used it as a second coat after applying a volumizing mascara, and its brush separated my lashes nicely and gave them definition. I like it but I definitely think that 9 bucks is too expensive for this mascara. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Drama and Elegance
I love this formula for using at night when I want my lashes to look a little dramatic and dressed up. This formula goes on in a thin coat, and seperates lashes fully for an overall great look. The brush gives definition, shine and length to the lashes in a couple of coats. It isn't clumpy and looks great. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 3 people said helpful

meh'......
of course i bought this b/c the sparkly ultra springtime fresh bright green tube just screamed awesome, in fact i bought FOUR, so i could distribute them amoungst my sisters, who like i, are always on the look out for the best mascara ever. the tube is the best thing about this tho. the brush is definatly flimsy, it never seems to have enough product on it to give me any additional volume, and only negligable length...the color is nice and dark, and i guess it does look fairly natural, but frankly, natural just doesnt do it for me. oh, it washes off easily, and only smeared alittle, under my eyes. not worth buying twice, ps, none of my sisters liked it either. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 8 people said helpful

Clean natural look
I think this mascara is meant for blond lashed gals who want to just darken lashes with a clean natural look without clumping. For me with dark lashes already, it does nothing. I prefer mascaras that dramatically thicken and curl as well. The bristles are on the fat side, hard to get inbetween the lashes. The only good thing about the tube is that it's sleek and easy to find among all the black tubes that look similar. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

JUNK
This has to be one of the flakiest mascaras out there. I really hated it, because it felt like i was putting colored water on my lashes, the formula is way too wet for my taste. Also, the brush is too bendy/long/awkward-the bristles are plastic and they don't grip the lashes to allow for zero clumps. It just doesn't do what it says, I don't know why they still sell this junk. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Did nothing for me at all
This is right there with Great Lash as being one of the worst mascaras I've used. No length, no volume. Just basically nothing. Useless. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
