Sheer, non-greasy, superb protection
My fair skin is extremely sensitive to most broad-spectrum UVA-UVB sunblock ingredients, so I was thrilled to discover Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 30 sunblock. (I've written a separate review of the SPF 55 product, which is a bit different). I was thrilled to find a broad-spectrum sunblock with Helioplex at an affordable price. (Helioplex is Neutrogena's name for a relatively new, long-lasting, broad-spectrum sun protection ingredient that was introduced originally in the Anthelios product line from La Roche-Posay, which is superb also but is pricier and harder to find.) It's sheer and non-greasy, as its name promises, so you don't look as though you have anything on your skin, but YOU know you've got great sun protection. Superior. long-lasting protection that doesn't sting sensitive skin
I had high hopes for Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55, and it did not disappoint! I have extremely fair skin and a family history of skin cancer, so I'm very careful about sun protection. Most of the high-SPF, broad-spectrum UVA-UVB sunblocks I've tried sting my sensitive skin and/or leave a ghoulish white glow. This Neutrogena sunblock offers longer-lasting protection than most others, doesn't turn my skin white, and doesn't sting or burn even my ultra-sensitive skin. I thought all sunscreens would make me breakout.
I'm very happy with this product, it doesn't feel greasy, absorbs quickly, and hasn't irritated my sensitive skin. No breakouts either! It feels like a lotion and smells like a day at the beach! Plus they added anti-oxidants A, C, and E. What more could you ask for in a sunscreen? nice sunblock
This sunblock soaks into your skin and dries quickly, so you don't get that sticky feeling. You could use this at a the beach and not get sand stuck to your skin. I don't use this on my face, as I tend to break out, especially from sunscreen, but it's great for my body. Perfect for sweaty sports
I use the 55 on my face when I went running this past summer. Doesn't make my face look like I just stuck my head in a vat of Crisco, which is the best part. Felt like it really protected my skin too! Doesn't run either, so it's perfect for sports (sunscreen mixed with sweat dripping into the eyes is NEVER a good thing). Use It Every Day
I have been using this for a few years now. I put it on my face everyday before applying my makeup. It doesn't irritate my skin or make my face an oil slick like most sunscreens. Sheer and Effective
If you've ever hated that thick, gunky, pasty white effect of sunblock on your skin - try this. I hated sunblock and would refuse to wear it because my skin is hyper sensitive and I would get break outs on my back and neck. After trying this and found it didn't irritate my skin nor make it an oil slick, I liked it. It was effective, I didn't burn as fast as I usually would and I knew I was protected from sun rays. Banzai for sunophobes!
This is an awesome body sunscreen. It really is dry to the touch and protects adequately. Sometimes it doesn't rub into my skin well enough, leaving me slightly white in some places. The tube--being 3oz--is ideal for travel, yet if you're looking for daily body protection...this will only last about a month tops. If you plan on using it for your face, it will last quite a while. It has a slight scent and the consistency is a bit thicker than normal sunscreens. Favorite Sunblock
I adore this sunblock. It's the only sunscreen I've used and haven't burned. I have really fair skin so I normally burn really easily. I got this in SPF 70 and worked wonderfully. Feels Great
I lucked out with naturally tanned/ bronze skin & I never have burned/ gotten a tan no matter how long I stay out in the sun but I still use sunblock to stave of sun damage. I usually go for cheaper products that are sweat and water proof, but this is really nice for every day use. It's light & absorbs really quickly.
