Intensive, but powerful
volta (471 reviews)Anytime my skin starts to make its track back to normalcy after a breakout, I like to use a good exfoliant to remove all the dead skin that usually follows. I received a deluxe sample of this microdermabrasion scrub and it's very powerful. The lemon scent is quite pleasant, but for anyone with sensitive skin, this scrub might be a little too harsh for your skin, especially when you have to scrub for 1-2 minutes as directed. Naturally, cleanse your face prior to using this and make sure you use a nice thick moisturizer afterwards. I recommend that you use this at night rather than in the morning because it can temporarily make your face blotchy and red like after a facial. I prefer a nice thick firming night cream to follow. You're supposed to wait 3 days in between uses as the grains do feel harsh. I wouldn't compare this to a real microdermabrasion (obviously), but it's a powerful exfoliant that's going to do it's job and remove all the dead or dry flakes from your face. If I could compare it, I would compare it to Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate line. This scrub is quite expensive, as is Kate's, but Kate has a small travel tube of ExfoliKate at Sephora for $19 if you want a luxury scrub at the lowest price, which is something that I am more than happy to do. — 4 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Not for sensitive skin
SubCulture (228 reviews)I like the lemony scent and it's a very abrasive scrub which I like but a few minutes after washing this off my skin was red and blotchy all over, even my less sensitive T-zone areas were blotchy. My skin was also dry and flaky and took a few days to recover. You only need a small amount to get an effective scrub but fortunately it did not work for me since it's so expensive! — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Love it, but....
radar626 (318 reviews)I really love this product, but I hate how fast it seems to dry out in the container. I always make sure to put the top back on tightly, but it still gets dried out and changes color after just a couple of uses. This is not a new phenomenon with this product, but it happened in less than two weeks this time. Did the formula change??? — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
