Redken Extreme Shampoo
In my line of work, I have seen some of the most abused heads of hair imaginable. When my clients don't want to cut it off, this is my go to product line by Redken. While it gently cleanses the hair, it doesn't strip the hair at all, and after using it for a short time, it really does improve the hair. My speciality is corrective color, usually performed at home, and after coloring, bleaching, and color removal, the hair looks like a fright wig at times. In order to make the color more pleasant, I will usually have to perform another chemical service, and when it's all over, you have a head of hair that is breaking off, and if they heat style, you would think it would be impossible to make it look healthy again with out cutting it off and starting from scratch. That usually isn't an option, and that's where this line comes in. It really improves the hair structure without weighing the hair down, and it helps colored, heat styled, and chemically altered Hair not only look and feel better, but it improves the health of the hair as well. With continued use, the condition becomes even better and the benefits last. If you have really abiused hair, this line is created just for you, and it is a great investment in your hair, hands down, one of the best lines for truly beat up hair. — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Plain-ol' shampoo
Nothing to this, it cleans, it smells good. My hair didn't improve from this nor did it look any shinier. I could've have spent money on two shampoos for the price. — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Helps Undo the Damage
I was pleasantly surprised that only after 2 washes, I could see a nice change in my hair. It became softer and the split ends were not noticeable. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

protein shampoos
This is another nice protein shampoo that smells like candy. The stuff works well, I have to admit. I am currently using this line to help grow out my hair, the proteins are strenghteners. — 5 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pretty plain.
I tried this shampoo and conditioner after reading this on the Body Full info page on the Redken site: "If you used the old Body Full and prefer a more strengthened feel on your hair, you might like Redken’s Extreme haircare line." Unfortunately, my hair did not feel healthier, repaired (although my only woes were some dry areas), softer, and definitely not fuller. My hair did not feel dirty and didn't smell awful, but that's about it. I expected more from Redken. This shampoo was mediocre in its claims. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

AMAZING!!!!
I bought the Redken Extreme shampoo, conditioner, an anti-snap leave in conditioner. I LOVE IT. I have naturally straight, long brown hair. I recently highlighted it then a few months after that I accidently fried it with a straightener. To the point that chunks of my hair were falling out. I had to go to my stylist to cut a few inches off and cut my bangs super short, because I literally singed my hair and I had to get bangs. Well, since then I have tried many different drug stores products and even tried Marrakesh hair care and NOTHING works as good as this. Pieces of my straight hair were so frizzy due the damage of my straightener and in ONE use my hair was basically straight and back to normal. My hair is soft, smooth, and so healthy now thanks to Redken Extreme. Do not hesitate to buy this line, ESPECIALLY if you have damaged hair. You will be in love!!! — 4 days, 11 hours agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I tried the Redken brand of color protecting shampoo as well and it didn't work very well in comparison to Shielo's Color Protect. I have been using the Shielo Color Protect shampoo for about a year now. It's the only shampoo that I use because it keeps my hair shiny and moisturized just enough. I have long, fine, wavy hair, that I would classify as "normal" (not too dry, not too oily). Usually, my hair gets weighed down easily by bad shampoos or it becomes dry and the waves become less defined. This shampoo preserves my highlights very well. I highly recommend this to those who have color-treated hair and are looking for moisturizing and nice smelling shampoo. — 4 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

"Why is it so watery?"
I don't know if it was just a defect with mine but the shampoo is like water! its so runny and weird. Because I knew it was good for my hair I continued to try to use it but the watery feeling didnt say "shampoo" to me at all so I gave up. Idk maybe im weird but it just didn't seem like a shampoo because of how watered down it felt and that bothered me a lot :p — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
