While this product does contain spf which is always a plus to me, I wasn't as happy with the conditioning as I thought I'd be. My lips seemed smooth as long as the product was on my lips. But it also felt a little waxy, like I knew there was something on my lips and it felt weird. I like a balm that feels smooth and natural, so you forget you have it on, yet your lips feel great. As soon as this product wore off I had to reapply or my lips were really dry again. Also if I put lipstick on top of it, it seemed to almost slide off. I'm sure thats part of the waxy feeling. I need lip balm, big time! My lips get chapped and cracked very easily unless I keep something on them at all times. Lip gloss never looks good on chapped lips, and I love to wear lip gloss, so I use this stuff first. It doesn't have a medicinal taste, it smells nice, and it makes my lips softer than anything else that I've tried. December 13, 2007, 9:28 am

I have normal lips that get very slightly dry a few times a week. I keep lip balm on them most of the time. This moisturizer is slightly waxy and it often make my lips feel gunky - which is the only way to describe it. Even if I put it on soft, exfoliated lips, I end up having to use a rough paper towel or cloth to wipe the balm off my lips after a while because I end up with a 'gunky' waxy build up with dead skin cells off my lips mixed in. It's icky to put it best. A very good aspect of this moisturizer is that it lasts and lasts and lasts. The is probably why I get the gunky build up. It goes on smooth and minimally waxy, but never really feels like it sinks in. After a couple of months, it hasn't improved the condition of my lips or lessened the episodes of dryness. I love that the product's twist up dial is located right under the cap. It saves you from those accidents that you sometimes have with other lip balms, leaving you with tons of wasted product all over the cap, etc. I love the fact that the product is non-scented. The formula is also non sticky, and very moisturizing as it contains natural oatmeal, jojoba oil and shea butter. My only complaint is that the balm felt really thin after a while, but that could also be because I used too much of the product at one time. The product helps provide long term moisture, my lips felt soft even after the product was off my lips. Best of all, it contains SPF 15 which helps shield lips from the sun's harmful rays. I would buy this product again, and even recommend it to my friends, even though it costs more than your regular Chapstick. July 19, 2008, 6:06 pm
