Rose Salve
This is better than the average lip balm, and leaves a nice sheen and a faint rosy tint on the lips. It doesn't burn like some lip balms, and the tin is very cute. One tin will last you a very long time. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 7 people said helpful

wonderful!
I can understand all the hype that this balm has received. After finally giving in and buying a tin (mostly because I have countless lip stuff already), I really enjoy this product. My lips tend to become chapped quite frequently and this smoothes it out quickly. It's not sticky, feels very moisturizing, and it smells amaaaazing. My lips look luscious after putting this on. It's only $5.50 a tin, but a little goes a long way! I haven't used it on any other part of my body like claims say you can, but I reckon it would work nicely! — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

C.O. BIGELOW ROSE SALVE
I have both this and the original Smith's Rose salve in fact I did a comparison of them on my blog. I love this. I think the formula is slightly better than Smith's because when I apply this at night, it is still protecting my lips in the morning. I sometimes get cold sores and this type of product is essential to keeping my sensitive lips moisturized when that happens. I use one or the other of them EVERY night before bed and the results are beautiful, soft lips. A lot of people say this is just glorified Vaseline. I disagree, it has rose extract which acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant (beat that Vaseline). I have NEVER tried a better lip balm before these. There is one problem though. As much as I love the C. O. Bigelow balm, I can't get the tin open if I have the slightest bit of moisture on my hands. I think it gets worse during the winter with the cold temperatures but it's really obnoxious. That is why I went out to buy the Smith's salve which, by the way, opens like a dream. If C. O. Bigelow made this open-able this would be my HG product! I had heard great things about this product for years so when I finally spotted it at Bed Bath & Body Works I couldn't resist. I actually don't find that packaging difficult to open at all. I like the vintage looking tin, though it's important to always have clean fingers before reaching in! I like this for temporary moisture on my lips, but it's a winner for my cuticles! At first, I felt like it was too greasy on my fingers and was disappointed. But lately I have been using it just before bed massaged into my cuticles and even after the first night I noticed a difference! The subtle scent is beautiful. Because of the slightly greasy texture I wouldn't use it on my face as it recommend (it says for elbows, cuticles, lips, face, knees) My only gripe is that the product is very soft and easy to create a mess if you aren't careful... Overall I love it for my cuticles and *like* it for my lips. I would repurchase. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 14 people said helpful

Love this product.
I love the smell, texture and how it moisturizes my lips. I use it on my cuticles and knuckles too, and it works great! I will always keep this product on hand! I don't usually care for gloss in pots because that means you have leftover balm on your fingers, but the salve can just be rubbed into your hands to moisturize there too. Moisturizes well, and for awhile. Good value, because the pot lasts a long time. — 4 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Amazing!
I have been using this product for years and it is incredible. It has just a tiny amount of tint which really brings a pop to my lips. Not only is it incredibly moisturizing, but it also helps improve the quality of my lips. I use the extra on my fingers to moisturize the skin on my hand. I have also, in a pinch, used this on my cheeks for just a little bit of color. It is not sticky and has a lovely smell. Plus its much cheaper than other rose salves. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

UGH!
I am allergic to this. And that is honestly, unusual. I am never allergic to anything! There is something in this product that is seroiously TOO STRONG. For me to be allergic, that is NOT GOOD! — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 11 people said helpful

Great universal salve
Aside from putting it on my lips at night, I've used it on my elbows, my nails and cuticles, even my hair when I don't want flyaway strands. It is very inexpensive and the amount of product will last you a long time too. It has the slightest pink tint and it smells wonderful. I can't really smell roses but it smells really nice. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Everyone should have at least two!
I bought three, one for me, my son, and my hubby, but I still have all three in my possession. Not sure I want to part with them! Love the slight rosey scent, the texture is not greasy, thick nor sticky! Great lip balm but also for cuticles or dry patches. Great tasting also! Great for stocking stuffers also!! — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

One of the Best!
This product has been around for ages and there is a reason why. It WORKS! I love this stuff, it glides on so well, its not heavy, doesnt feel greasy or icky, and it smells fantastic! I especially love the rose scent and the strawberry which is my favorite. You can even rub this on your elbows and knees to soothe dry skin. Great great great product and for the price, you cant go wrong. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
