I have had my fair share of bad experiences with lip stain. I usually end up with the "kindergartener after a cup of koolaid" look and have struggled to find a natural looking, everyday stain. This is it. The colors are natural and don't look one bit little girlish. I especially love the marker like application. It's virtually fool proof, unlike other rollerball applicators i've used. The stain is extremely long lasting and I love layering lip balm over it for a soft semi-matte look. — 3 years ago

Great stain for those that like stains!

As I said, great if you like stains. The colors are meant to give an "i just ate a popsicle" look, and, by definition, aren't blendable, yet I have found you can layer them to customize the color. Use the pen as a liner first, then fill in to ensure even coverage. Having said that, this doesn't grab on to dry spots like other stains I've used, and stays on quite well. I only wish there were more colors! To the user who had problems returning her product, I was a manager with the company for years and as long as you bought it in store (on-line and catalogue orders have to be sent back) and you had a receipt, you should have had no problem returning your product- I'd suggest you ask to speak to a manager or ask for the customer service number if that fails. — 3 years, 2 months ago

The concept is great but....

I have purchase 4 of these handy dandy little pens. The thought of the lip tint in several different colors was very appealing to me. 3 of the 4 i purchased were dried out when I got them home. The one that worked, barely worked at all but would have been nice had it put out more color. When I tried to return the dried out ones to Victoria's Secret, they refused to take them back. — 3 years, 10 months ago

best lip stain, hands down . . . and I've tried them ALL

This is by far the best stain I've used. So far I've tried the "unzipped" shade and just ordered a couple of other colors. I'm trying to get the word out about this because I'm terrified they'll discontinue it if enough people don't buy it. It's pretty much perfect -- I love the magic-markerish applicator and it doesn't make your lips all crusty (though I do put some lip balm on top of it). It lasts a really long time and you can layer it on for a darker shade. Before I found this my favorite was Hard Candy in "piglet" but they just discontinued that, and I didn't like the applicator or the watery consistency. The Victoria's Secret stain doesn't have those issues and lasts longer. Off the top of my head these are the other lip stains I've tried, all of which pale in comparison to the VS stain: benetint, becca lip tint, vincent longo, sephora, avon lip marker, urban decay, laura mercier, lancome, lip ink, tarte, loreal once bitten, etc. -- the list goes on. I've tried everything Sephora carries online (which includes some of the above) plus several others. I can't say enough good things about the VS stain. My search is finally over!! At least until they discontinue it . . . c'mon, help me out ladies!!! Let's give 'em a reason to keep this one on the market! — 3 years, 11 months ago
