Clinique Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 40 Reviews

super protection
beautybody (127 reviews)This sunscreen goes on so smoothly onto my skin. It seems to really sink in and not make my face greasy at all. I used it today after work before heading out to run errands today over my makeup. It felt nice and not too heavy at all. One of my favorite sunblocks. — 1 month, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

High SPF, but not my favorite City Block
luckybetty (880 reviews)Many years ago when I started using makeup, I did not know about a foundation primer. And most of my foundation did not come with SPF. Therefore, when the first City Block (I think it was SPF 15) came out, I worshiped the Clinique City Block line. I used it almost daily as as a under foundation base. Over the years I have upgraded to a higher SPF City Block. My favorite one was a tinted SPF 25 version, which is unfortunately discontinued. For my oily/combo skin, this highest SPF City Block is okay as a sunscreen, but not so effective as a foundation base. My mineral powder foundation do not stay as good as when I use other primers. This City Block definitely feels a bit heavier than the Oil-Free City Block. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Best Sunscreen for senstive skin!!!!
Thorne (335 reviews)This will not irritate sensitive skin because it uses Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide as its active ingredients to get the spf rating. The unique thing about this sunscreen is that those ingredients typically leave a chalky, white cast on tan or dark skins--Clinique brilliantly addresses this by adding a tint to the sunscreen. I have light-medium skin and detect no white cast. This also is light and acts as kind of a primer under makeup and has other beneficial ingredients for skin. I get no breakouts or irritation from this prouct. Awesome sunscreen for sensitive skin, especially if you can get a gwp with it!!!! — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 8 people said helpful

Great All Around Sunblock
SubCulture (228 reviews)High spf, high percentage of the physical sunblock ingredients, tinted so it blends in with skintone - no white cast, and creamy feel. This works great for reapplying throughout the day. Great value for the quality and amount of product you get for under $20. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best facial sunscreen!
TwoBirds (284 reviews)This is a great product for everyday use. It is light, slightly tinted, not-greasy with a high SPF. It works well with other products as well. When my skin is dry I'll usually put a moisturizer on first or mix the two together and apply. It is great under makeup and I love how smoothly it goes on. A great way to protect your skin from sun damage. Just don't forget your neck too! — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Sunblock or Sunscreen?
girlwomanbeautybrainsblog (232 reviews)We talk ad nauseum about sunscreens because they are one of the best defenses against skin cancer and wrinkles, but we have failed to mention another important defense: Sunblock. What's the difference between a sunblock and a sunscreen? Sunscreens actually absorb the ultraviolet radiation, thus reducing the amount of radiation that penetrates the skin. Sunblocks, instead of absorbing UV rays, reflect them. Remember the zinc oxide stripe on the nose? Many summers ago, sunblocks could be spotted by the opaque white film, but new technology has created sunblocks with particles so tiny, that the opaque film is no longer noticeable. Chemicals most common in sunblocks include titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 40, containing titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, is a high-level daily sun protection in a sheer, weightless formula that is invisible under makeup. Although the product is tinted when first applied, it's quickly absorbed into the skin and becomes invisible. The ingredients are compatible with all skins, even the most sensitive. In addition, it is a sunscreen, offering SPF 40 protection from sun’s UVA/UVB rays. There are not a lot of antioxidants in this product, but for $16, you shouldn't expect much. With only titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as the main ingredients, this is a good choice for women with sensitive skin or rosacea. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 9 people said helpful

Great Sunscreen
mgong27 (5 reviews)This sunscreen has good amounts of SPF and is perfect for sensitive skin. It is pigmented so it gives your skin a light dewy finish. It's not too oily either. Definitely give it a try! — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Great protection!
Strawbryblonde (15 reviews)Its softly tinted and goes on smooth and easy...no white paste. No Breakouts!! My oily skin is picky! It leaves a slight dew like finish (my oily like skin it dewy all on its own so -1 star only). Therefore, I use this w/ bareminerals powder on top to shut down any shine after application. Works like a charm, and your protected from the sun!!!! — 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Superb
nedarah1 (1 reviews)I've tried a kazillion different face sunscreens and have suuuper sensitive skin that will break out fast from greasy formulas and is dry at the same time. This sunscreen is a must have because it goes on with no white film like even the most expensive ones leasve behind, no icky fragrance and no sensitivity. Plus though it's not actually tinted, it still leaves your skin looking completely flawless and one totally matte, all one color. Love this sunscreen. Can't begin to explain how much! — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 12 of 14 people said helpful
