Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips Reviews

Takes Away Everything but Clothing!
I've been using and loving Clinique's "Take the Day Off" for longer than I can recall. It is non-irritating, non-stinging, and doesn't make me have to pull or tug on delicate skin. I saturate a cotton ball or makeup wipe and begin with my eyes--primer, shadows, liner, and brow products dissolve easily. Another cotton swipe completely removes even the most stubborn lip and cheek stains, along with concealer, foundation, etc. It is non-oily and refreshing. I then cleanse, tone, and moisturize as usual. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not worth the money
Definitely not worth the money, Greasy, burned my eyes, and left eye makeup residue all over my face. WHat a waste. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful

Easy on the eyes
I used to love this stuff! My mom and aunts would let me have the little travel sized bottles from the gift with purchase bags. It does a good job of removing waterproof mascara and other eye products, and the packaging is nice and sturdy. However, it does leave my skin feeling a little greasy, and I wouldn't want to use it on my whole face, so I definitely have to use a facial cleanser afterwards. It is also a bit expensive, since many drugstore brands now have comparable products for a fraction of the price. Additionally I'd rather just use one product to remove makeup on my whole face, so I've switched over to makeup wipes followed by bar soap. Still one of my all time faves, but not #1. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Surprisingly pleased
I got this as a gift with purchase, otherwise, I would not have bothered to try this. For all over the face I use Clinique Wash-Away Gel or a cleansing cloth when I travel. Anyway, the formula feels and looks a bit oily so first I was afraid this would cause a problem for my acne prone skin. Fortunately, my skin did not feel oily after using this. It takes most of my eye makeup and lipstick off without any rubbing or scrubbing. The best part is that it is gentle even for around my eye, no stinging, no irritation. It was a good discovery, but since this is quite pricey designed for specific areas of the face, this would not be my "one must" remover, but it sure does makes the job of Wash-Away Gel Cleanser easier. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Best make up remover
This is the only eye make up remover (that I've found) that actually takes all of your make up off and doesn't leave any traces behind. I have really sensitive eyes this doesn't leave my eyes red and irritated after I take my make up off. It's a very good product and Clinique always seems to be giving away samples of it, so why not give it a try? — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Takes It off
Although pricey, this makeup remover from Clinique is good to have around if you haven't removed makeup with your cleanser or wipe. I wouldn't call it a must-have, but it is good to have around, especially for cleaning your brushes. And since it's from Clinique, it is safe for those with sensitive skin. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Best I've Ever Used!!!
I'm a huge follower of Clinique (hence my user name) and was so excited to recieve a free sample of this. This completely exceded my expectations. After just one gentle swipe my eye and lip makeup were gone. I like this much better han Clinique's Rinse Off Eye Makeup Solvent. The best part is it's safe to use on both your eyes and lips. Will definatly be purchasing the full sized bottle. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

My go-to eye makeup remover
I have gone through multiple bottles of this product and it always does a great job. Gentle on sensitive eyes with contacts, and yet, it really does remove makeup. Sometimes I go over my eyes twice, but I think that has more to do with the amount of mascara I wear. I used to use the Mary Kay eye makeup remover and I would say they work equally well. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Really can't get any better
This works a little slower than its Lancome counterpart, but it much more gentle on the skin and eyes. It doesn't leave behind any residue like the Lancome remover does, which is a huge bonus. It is also excellent for sensitive skin. I also like that it stays mixed longer after shaking so you have time to do both eyes without recapping the bottle and shaking again. I hope that someday they come out with this in pre-moistened pad form. It would make it that much easier to travel with. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful
