Nice Splurge

High Shine and Long Lasting!
I adore these glosses!! The gloss adds a wet look over lipstick that endures and sort of "seals in" moisture in your lips. The golden luster in this line is an added bonus and it's very flattering and adds an illusion of larger lips. The only drawback for me is the scent. I really don't like it personally. I read somewhere that the scent was identified as mango. It's a pretty strong scent if you happen to not be a fan of the smell. AMAZING!
I own this lip gloss in the red color, no. 17 I believe. I really love it and use it whenever I want to make a statement or don't have the time for elaborate eye makeup. Just this gloss and some mascara is enough for a stunning look. It smells really nice, kind of grapefruity and goes on really smooth, not gunky or thick in any way. The color is nice and vibrant and really brings out the green in my eyes. Needs to be reapplied often, but I much prefer that to lip glosses that are intended for long wear as they're usually really thick and uncomfortable. Great gloss! I love YSL's cosmetics and thought I'd give the Golden Gloss a try. I use a neutral lip liner so I didn't have any problems with smudging as some of the other reviewers reported. My only complaint is that once the gloss wore off, I had bits of glitter left on my lips which were far from attractive. The colors are absolutely gorgeous, but unless you're committed to reapplying frequently, you're better off with YSL's Gloss Pur. Because of the glitter factor, I'd suggest he Golden Gloss for evening wear and the Gloss Pur for daily wear. Super Lovely
So there are many YSL products I don't like, they may be classy but they simply don't perform. However, this gloss is a completely different story. Do I really need 24-karat gold in my gloss? No, but this really is the best gloss I've found (even surpassed my fave dior). It is not sticky, but has staying power and incredible shine, truly mirror-like, just as the description says. It is beautiful! It transformed my thin lips into a juicy looking pout.
