Rated a 8

There's a reason it's called "radiant touch." Sweep it like a paintbrush along the T-zone (on top of or under foundation), and this mica-illuminated liquid brightens tired eyes and camouflages red splotches. Although it can be used as a concealer, the light coverage will do little to mask blemishes and lines. But prepare yourself for some sticker shock. If you're new to highlighters, start with Lancome's Flash Retouche -- it's about $15 cheaper.

Still a necessity for all makeup bags!!

    by buster (3 reviews)
I was introduced to this miracle pen by numerous makeup artists during my 10 year stint as a model in London during the 90's. I've yet to find anything which is as practical, versatile and downright effective at blasting shadows & small blemishes as touche eclat. This has been the only constant in my make up bag for ...the last 10 years, which is saying something as I'm an absolute makeup junkie always looking for the next "miracle product". Anyway, forget about the price tag- it will last for a good few months. Also, think about the time you will save using one pen to 'paint out' the shadows under your eyes, use as a primer on your lids, to cover a little red where your nosrils meet your cheeks, cover the odd broken capillary (come on, we all have them...) and/or zit, then highlight your cheek bones, the cupid's bow of your top lip (very subtly, before gloss and/or subtle lip pencil) and even glide down the bridge of your nose. What other product covers that many bases? The only downside to the product is that you've got to wash and dry the brush out pretty throughly every couple of weeks or it'll start smelling like a rotten dishtowel due to bacteria growth on the wet brush. I have very occasionally (over a 10 year period...) had a touche eclat start smelling as early as 2 weeks after opening, but on those occasions the YSL counters at the department stores I purchased them from were happy to exchange them. The consistency is fairly thin, but dont worry, it does the trick. Dont worry about wearing your favourite eyecream under it-I think it helps smooth it into the skin. You wont see any glittery flecks or greasy-ness, but it is definitely light reflective. You wont notice it in daylight, but if you overdo it with the touche eclat around your eyes and have a bit of a tan, you may end up with "a white ski google tan look" in pictures, because the flash will reflect off where you put the touche elcat. All in all, a SUPER product. Can serve as concealer, foundation and highlighter on most days. Big bonuses: 1) wont go "crunchy" or sit in the little creases around your eyes-At age 38, I've tried them all....this one really does stay fresh. 2) Can be layered - keep one in your bag for a quick touch up (over existing makeup) to wake up a tired face after work before hitting the town! 3)The small size and many uses make it a must for keeping in your bag at all times! Best Concealer Worth the Expense

    by flynnsalex (2 reviews)
I first heard about this product on QVC and I know the hosts are paid to hype all the products they sell but they all used this product. Rarely have I heard the host claim to swear by a product so I thought I would try it for myself. I have to say that I have tried many concealers I performed for years in my youth and did ...quite a bit of modeling and you try alot of different makeup. This one cost a little more but is so worth it. I am now fifty-one and look thirty-five when I use this product. It has such beautiful light diffusers that it makes your imperfections look perfect. I get so many compliments and everyone asks if I had some botox or something. My secret. November 12, 2007, 6:55 pm

Worth the price for subtle but effective coverage

    by KrisUKUS (6 reviews)
As someone who is very fair, finding concealer has been an on-going trial. So many are too orange or too pink for me that they actually highlight the area instead of hiding it. I'd pretty much gotten to the point of giving up when I discovered this product, and fell in love. It isn't very heavy coverage, in my experience, b...ut it's just enough, particularly for under-eye circles. Since finding it, I've tried a bunch of the other products which are supposed to be similar, and I keep finding myself going back to this one. My only problem with this product is that the brush can go moldy if you don't take care with it. For something so expensive I wouldn't mind if they re-considered the packaging to see if they could eliminate that problem. April 26, 2008, 5:40 pm

    Amazing glowing skin!

This highlighter and dark circle hider is just amazing! It gives our face a radiant boost, all the while hiding your dark circlea and fine lines. The texture of the cream is very light and the product does last a long time. My main issue though is the packaging- it is impossible to tell when the product is all used up. Also..., the price is quite steep to use for everyday, But if you were having some special photos or a wedding to attend this will sure come in handy! May 19, 2008, 8:39 pm

    Pretty Good....

    by Lailie (3 reviews)
I bought this product after reading the wonderful reviews on another site. Although I don't regret buying it, Radiant Touch didn't live up to the reviews I had come across. I have yet to have issues with a weird smell. Nonetheless, my dissapointment was slim to none compared to the overall results. Radiant Touch DID cover u...p my dark circles very well. There is still a faint shadow in lower edges near my nose tho. Also, make sure to cover with a pink powder on days you're going to have pictures. (Flash creates a large white semi-circle everywhere you applied the product) March 17, 2008, 5:30 pm

Better as a highlighter than a true concealer

    by cheetah11 (151 reviews)

I was initially excited about this product, seeing as it has a pin-point tip for very precise application. My idea was to apply it to some hyperpigmented spots I had on my face left over from monthly breakouts. Although I found a color to match my skin tone, the coverage isn't opaque enough to mask those dark spots from h...ealed acne. The coverage is at best, moderate. I found it more useful as a highlighter instead, which I didn't purchase the product for. Lasting power is great btw, but if I can't use it for its intended purpose which was to cover up dark spots, then it's basically useless to me. I gave it to my mom instead and she actually likes it so I guess it isn't really a waste. If you're going to shell out this much money for the product thinking it will cover all those dark spots really well, you might want to look elsewhere. November 9, 2008, 10:41 pm

    highlighting yes, banish shadows no

    by blecky (4 reviews)
This is a nice highlighter for cheekbones and around the lips or over the eyebrows. But as for its legendary status as a fantastic undereye concealer, it didn't work for me. I have dark undereye circles and found it didn't do much of anything in that department. I don't get the hype. May 1, 2008, 4:10 pm

    Great Product!

    by hazeldazel (1 review)
I have huge dark circles under my eyes and this works great at making them disappear - just paint and blend! Dark areas just lighten magically and there\'s a hint of shimmer. This works great as a concealer too, the trick is to gently tap the pen and then blend on the outer edges. Never gets greasy or cakey and just blen...ds in perfectly. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn\'t bother my skin at all. If you get a strange odor on the pen, keep in mind you do need to clean them occasionally! Dip in some rubbing alcohol and wipe dry. This is a pricey product, but if you keep it clean it will last a looooooooong time! February 15, 2008, 3:17 pm

    Great for dark circles

    by erica99 (3 reviews)
I find this product the best at hiding the dark circles under my eyes. I am olive skinned and tend to use #1 during winter months and #2 during the summer. I have found that application is key to making this product look good and stay on. Make sure your undereye cream has fully absorbed, use a concealer brush to gently p...at into your skin, and top off with a tiny bit of powder if your're oily like me. November 29, 2007, 1:35 pm

    Can't be with out it!

    by Aligirl (1 review)
Most everything I use makeup wise changes often but Touche Eclat is something I can't be without..I have light to mild dark circles under my eyes and use this in shade #1..It makes me look"alive"& more refreshed.People notice when I'm not wearing it..My sweet little 7yr old told me I looked tired..LOL I have... light skin with warm undertones(BB Porcelain,MAC NC15,KA SSE 05,MAD minerals Light golden) The brush has a tendency to mildew(hasn't happened to me yet) so you have to make sure you wash the brush(yes, with soap and water) and I swear it won't happen again;) definitely with the $37 November 30, 2007, 11:56 am
