    Most Flattering Blush EVER!!

I have very fair skin, and it's very easy for blush to look too dark on my skin. In 2009, Clinique did a Limited Edition run of Fresh Bloom All Over Color in Bamboo Pink. I had used another shade of Clinuque's blush since my teenage years and liked it, but I was thrilled to have tried this blush palate! What makes Fresh Bloom unique is the various complimentary shades in one compact. This is an incredible idea, after all, cheeks' flushed appearance take on multidimensional hues. Rather than separating the shades into their own sections, they all are in the same pot, appearing as a beautiful floral design! Clinique clearly created this artistic element for a functional reason: the floral design enables me to effortlessly blend the shades together with my brush, resulting in the most natural looking, ever-so-slight hint of rosy cheeks! In cases where other brands have mixed blush shades into one compact, they: 1) separated the shades, making them impossible to blend, 2) included the hues into a single palate, allowing for easy color blending, BUT arranged the colors in a uniform pattern (ie: alternating in rows of teeny, uniform squares) that didn't allow for natural color saturation on the brush, leading to poor application on the cheeks, or 3) Did the same as #1 and #2, but added insult to injury by pairing REALLY horrible shades together that are not natural looking or complementary of each other. Clinique truly put great thought into the hue-pairings and ensuring that their Bloom design would result in flawless looking cheeks! Here's the problem: Although Clinique still makes Fresh Bloom blush in other shades, they unfortunately have not brought Bamboo Pink back to life since its one-month run in June of 2009. I find it odd since this collection (it was blush, lipstick/gloss, eyeshadows, etc. in Bamboo Pink) flew off the shelves AND fashion critiques raved that Bamboo Pink was the most amazing shade since it pulled off the rare feat of complimenting all skin tones, from super-fair to extremely-dark! The only way to score this blush (and most of the other items in the collection) these days is by paying jacked-up prices for it through eBay and other sites that sell discontinued makeup lines. It's not likely you'll find them -- my hunts have become exceedingly harder, and most recently< I couldn't even find the eyeshadows! Bottom Line: I highly recommend this product! You aren't likely to find the Bamboo Pink shade, but Clinique currently produces several other flattering Fresh Bloom blushes. So long as you aren't really light-skinned, you'll probably find a shade that works for you and will result in equally stunning results. If you are light-skinned, I would suggest going to a Clinique counter to have a consultant test the current Fresh Bloom colors on your face to be sure they don't look too dark or off base. It's not that you won't find a great color, but it would be much harder to figure it out if you're shopping online. Trying the colors on your face while factoring in your undertones, hair/eye color, etc. in the mirror will help you nail the best option for you! Happy blushing! I sure am . . . until I run out of Bamboo Pink options, lol! ;-p — 2 weeks, 1 day ago

Great if you insist a little

When i first used this blush(i have it in posy), i thought it was really awful. I have more of a medium coloured skin so i didn't see any difference between before and after. I put it in a drawer and forgot about it, until last week. I tried it again, this time with more product on the brush and insisted with the brush on the cheek. And finally a saw a difference. It's a really gorgeous colour if you insist a little. But i would recommend it in a darker or more pronounced shade for women with darker skin. — 1 year, 3 months ago

    Perks up pale skin

I have to agree that this is a wonderful product. I got this as a sample in Peony and absolutely love it! It gives my fair skin a subtle hint of color without looking overly done. I will defintely be buying this in the future, it is going to be one of my staples from now on! — 1 year, 4 months ago
