I got the quad that came with the latest purchase with purchase offer (copper, brown, taupe, cream) and I am loving how well these shadows work. It has been awhile since I have used any Clinique shadows. I don't remember them being this silky, vibrant, easy blending, or long wearing. I am planning on purchasing more of these quads as I love the versatility of the colors and how well they wear. I like Clinique eyeshadows, but I find the palettes tend to be pretty limited to pinks, browns and purples. Still if those are the shades you like the colour surge quads are pretty good. They go on evenly, are long-lasting (at least with the primer I use) and do not irritate my eyes. The color saturation is good, not great so that combined with the price knocks off a star. I like that in the quads you get equals amounts of each color and the applicator is really good for being in a palette. I'm quite disappointed in Clinique eye-shadows, because the pigments aren't very dense, it takes effort to build the color that's somewhat close to what's in the package, and they don't last that long. Good value, my fave for daytime wear

This quad in Pink Chocolates is versatile and beautiful. It goes with just about everything and gives a lovely, soft, natural finish. I love this for everyday wear, but I also wore it on my wedding day and looked amazing! Some people complain about the low pigmentation of Clinique eyeshadows, and they are right -- if you're wanting dramatic color, go to MAC. However, this eyeshadow is hard to mess up (great for people new to makeup, or in a hurry!).
