Editor Review

Rated a 8.5

Instead of coating hair in a slick shine like the name suggests, a recommended pea-sized amount (I used two) of this olive oil-based leave-in conditioner softens, shines and moisturizes without weighing strands down. Missing from the petite tube are the smell and greasy finish associated with UVA/UVB sunscreen. The cream is great for traveling; effects last through mad rushes at the airport and red-eye flights. Can also be used as a finishing tool to tame dry, frizzy hair.

If you blow out your hair, you need this product

    by drew13000 (3 reviews)
I have fine, naturally curly hair that I straighten with a hot iron nearly every day. It's hard to find products for my hair because most products are geared towards thick and curly or straight and fine. So the curly-haired products often weigh my hair down. This product is great for when I'm blowing out my hair, or lett...ing it dry naturally and wearing it curly. Regardless, it leaves my hair soft and silky. This cream, in combination with a great ceramic iron, leaves my hair looking like I've had a salon blow-out. November 29, 2007, 11:06 am

    Amazing

    by Sunnydays878 (5 reviews)
I recall reading about this product a few years ago in a magazine. Jenn Elfman wrote that she loved it and I thought "why not?", She said it gave her that second day feeling, which to some can mean greasy but to me just means maintained and a bit flatter. I have curly hair and I love, love, LOVE this product. ...I guarantee you there is no other product will make your hair as soft and a little bit goes a long way! I buy this for friends as small add-on gifts all the time and would suggest picking some up for yourself too! November 29, 2007, 10:38 am

I really like Fekkai's glossing cream. Only a small amount needs to be used, in fact overuse will leave the hair a bit oily. So the value is better for the price on this one than it is with other fekkai products. The cream provides very light detangling and leave the hair feeling soft and looking shiny. I like to use it bef...ore using the flat iron to assure that everything is nice and smooth. February 26, 2008, 9:03 am

    Big Fan

    by MollyMcGuire (3 reviews)
My best friend has spent the entire summer raving about this product, and finally I listened and tried it. AWESOME! Conditions the hair to give it a beautiful but not "over the top" sheen, makes it softer, and more manageable. Doesn't look too "gunky", in fact, its like my natural hair, but better - does...n't look or feel like there's a ton of product on it. I like to use it on wet hair before blowdrying, on dry hair after drying/straightening, and during the course of the day to revive my strands. I definitely recommend this product. Lightweight shine for healthy hair

    by aquanetta (3 reviews)
I've started using this recently before and after I've gotten my hair cut and colored. On my fine and straight Asian hair, it does a pretty good job of taming flyaways and smoothing out the dry ends, it makes my hair look totally luscious even when it badly needed to be trimmed. But if you're trying to tame the little broke...n hairs along the hairline, beware that if any of this cream along your roots and scalp will make your hair look stringy and greasy, the effect will stay even after the positive aspects have worn off during your busy day. Good product!

    by mllekat (1 review)
I used to think this product was all hype. I started using a new shampoo, conditioner & this at the same time (Brilliant Brunette - combined with soft water) and my hair was fantastic and shiny; I assumed it was the new shampoo. Turns out I was wrong. I switched products and stopped using the Glossing Cream, and my h...air wasn't nearly as soft, silky, and managable as it was when I was using it. Now I'm back to it, and will continue to use it. It's a little annoying when it separates, but I just shake up the bottle and it's fine again. I have found that I prefer to use this product when my hair is longer (closer to shoulder length) than when I have a more styled cut, as it can slightly weigh my hair down. October 17, 2007, 2:30 pm

    great stuff

    by gracewaste (10 reviews)
I use this every day before blowdrying my hair, I find that it leaves it smoother and shinier looking than without it and I also believe that with prolong use it has improved the moisture of my hair. I pretty much cannot live without this product, since it's the only one I've used that does not leave my fine hair greasy an...d weighed down while providing the result I want. May 28, 2008, 9:16 am

I apply this to my damp hair before I blow dry. It blends well and doesn't leave my hair greasy. I rub the leftover into my hand, cuticles and knees/elbows. The smell isn't noticable. It is a bit $$$ though so try to buy it online for a discount. May 5, 2008, 12:34 pm

    love it

My hair is colored and fine, two combinations that make it difficult to treat properly. The salesman recommended this product to me and I couldn't be more pleased. It is easy to use too much which weighs my hair down, but if I use just a dab on the ends of my hair it is magical. Plus, when I accidentally squirt too much... on my hands I use it as lotion and it works beautifully to soften my hands. April 29, 2008, 7:24 am

    Depoof your hair!

    by zwahllygirl (5 reviews)
I have really fine hair but I have a ton of it so when I blow dry I am left looking like the cowardly lion mane and all. A friend had me try Fekkai Glossing creme and it changed my life. Now when I blow out my hair it helps leave it smooth and flat and my hair can go a whole day without getting frizzy. April 22, 2008, 8:59 am
