I am not a fan of proactiv. I know the commercials show good results, but this irritated my skin terribly. The wash is very grainy and abrasive, and left a weird residue on my skin. Terrible

Use Sparingly!
My face became very dry, red and irritated when I was using this for every day cleansing. I do feel that it cleans very well but too much for every day use. Proactiv didn't really do anything for me.
And it's expensive. I've had acne for many years and was hoping this would help! (I don't mean a few pimples, I mean severe acne that was even starting to scar). My cousin was using it and it cleared up her skin, but then it stopped working for her so she gave me an unopened set of Proactiv that had already been shipped to her, thinking it might work for me. I tried it and really didn't see ANY difference in my skin. Proactiv has cleared up my acne!
I love the Proactiv Renewing Cleanser. I use this at night with my Clairisonic, along with rest of the 3 step program, and my acne has cleared up. I have found that it is imperative to be consistent with this program. I am 37 and have had acne for years and years. just ok
I tried this product and it was just ok. I think that there are better skin care lines out there now. It really dried out my normally oily skin and left me dry, flaky skin. Burned my skin
The first time I used this I was in my teens and it burned my skin. When I asked the doc why my face felt like that, she said that it was from this product. My skin couldn't handle the intensity of the benzoyl peroxide. I really wish Rodan and Fields had a disclaimer that "Hey we claim this works but it might burn the b-jesus out of your face!" Worked for me...
I think the biggest misconception when using Proactiv is that people think they can incorporate other products into the system. In doing that, you breakdown what the system was created to do...work together. By nature, I'm a skeptic and I want miracle results, but being a little older, I decided to give the Proactiv system a 30 day trial....and be patient with it. At the end of 30 days....my skin glowed.
