I don't even know what to say about this.
I guess that Proactiv must work for some specific group of people, but I don't know who they are. I saw the pictures in the commercials and the results looked good, but this just turned my skin red and shiny, tight, itchy and irritated. Oh, and it bleached my clothes and pillowcase. That really gave me pause-- I wasn't sure I wanted to put a product that could take the color out of fabric onto my skin. I Love Proactiv!
As a 37 year old, I STILL have acne! I have been using the Proactiv 3 step system for 3 or 4 years. The Repairing Lotion is part of a system that has worked for me. I have found that consistency is key with any acne system. If you use the system everyday, you will see a difference. If you are not consistent, you will not see results. There is no cure for acne, only ways to treat it. Remember, acne has a 2 week cycle and you will probably break out more at first. Give it time and you should see results. Not for skin over 25
I fully agree with another review that said this product isn't meant for skin over 25. When I first used proactiv, it worked great and I felt like my skin was more 'under control'. However, the older I got, the less it worked and then my skin got too dry. The products made it worse and I ended up stopping use of proactiv. Worked for me....
I think the biggest misconception when using Proactiv is that people think they can incorporate other products into the system. In doing that, you breakdown what the system was created to do...work together. By nature, I'm a skeptic and I want miracle results, but being a little older, I decided to give the Proactiv system a 30 day trial....and be patient with it. At the end of 30 days....my skin glowed. It was clean, my pores looked awesome....actually, you could hardly see them. You have to be patient and you have to use the system together. Besides, there's a money back guarantee with Proactiv. Clogged my skin up.

Stings like crazy
My skin would turn red after I used this lotion and I don't have sensitive skin. I did try their sensitive skin line and had much better results, but their 'normal' line was too much for my skin. Did Nothing for My Skin
This product did nothing for my skin as far as balancing or preventing break-outs. After I discontinued use of this system my face began to get better. good for emerging acne
I have acne-prone skin, and I tried the Proactiv line. I did not care for the line as a whole, but I do keep a bottle of this hand for those times when I can feel a pimple starting to emerge. A little dab of this does the trick, and keeps it from erupting into a huge whitehead as long as I catch it on time. I works for my son as well. I won't use this on my entire face daily, as I found it to be way too strong, but I do keep a bottle of it around for the occasional break out. No good
Worked for a bit, but then your skin just gets immune to it and your pimples come back worse than ever! Also might be a little too harsh for anyone but teenages with oily skin.
