Caudalie Beauty Elixir Reviews

A Waste of Money
Thank goodness I didn't actually purchase this item. Sephora lets you try products first and I'm so grateful. It would have been a huge waste of money. 50 bucks for toner? I don't think so. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Refreshing
Strong herbal scent, cool and minty feel, very fine mist. The glass bottle is not refillable so maybe this keeps the product fresh longer. It hydrates well and gives a glowing complexion. Sometimes makes my skin oily. I like the convenient travel size bottle. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not Just A Toner, A Little Bit of Magic
I must admit that even though I'm a beauty junkie, I didn't really understand the concept of this item at first. It promises a "smoothing, glowing complexion" on the bottle and caught my eye while on line at Sephora. (yes, the marketing worked). I will say, I already have pretty great skin (darker skin), yet I'm always looking to perfect it a little bit more. So here's what I found: Pros -Within 4 days of using this product before moisturizer I have received numerous inquiries on how I keep my skin so perfect, I also notice a glowing complexion. So the product works and therefore, mission accomplished. Cons -Smell is a bit too minty for my liking, but others seem to find it refreshing -price, if this is really considered a toner then it is really expensive for a toner (I prefer rose scented witch hazel)...but if this is more of an overall skin perfector, then I think it's worth the price. After one use every day for four days I can't say i've seen much of a dent in the bottle -dont get it in your eyes, IT BURNS. Same goes for newly waxed skin. Be careful, especially if your skin is sensitive. Overall, I'm hooked on this item. I definitely recommend it despite there being more cons than pros in this review. try it! — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

In Flight Prescription
If you fly often, you will want to pack Caudalie Beauty Elixir in your handbag. (It is approved by the FAA.) Flying can wreak havoc on your skin. According to Chanel's research lab, (the World Congress of Dermatology in Paris, the Epidermal and Sensory Research and Investigation Centre), in-flight humidity was only 8 percent on average (20 percent is considered comfortable). As a result, moisture in women's cheeks dropped by 20 percent and in their foreheads by 15 percent. (And here I thought all along that my cheek and forehead droop was a result of anti-gravitational pull.) "Extreme temperature fluctuations and those tiny fans blowing on you can dry skin out," says Doris J. Day, MD, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center. "And both the environmental and psychological stress of flying cause the release of hormones, so skin may be oilier in places that are usually oily and drier in places that are dry." To counteract the in-flight condition, I use Caudalie Beauty Elixir. The "prescription" contains rosemary and essential oils, plus a lovely minty scent that lifts your spirits. When I deplane, I feel fresh and moisturized. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 8 people said helpful

Overrated but nice
I've been using this as a setting spray for makeup because it wasn't useful for anything else, I don't need it as I feel I can freshen my face with moisturizer. Plus the smell is rather strong. It's nice though just not essential — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

This is a product that is a staple for me. I love the feeling of the mist on my face as I race out the door. My skin sort of tightens when I spray it on. I love this product. It is refreshing. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Addicting!
I first started using when I started working at a Bath & Body Works Flagship store in Dallas. During a Caudalie training I got my first spray, and I have been hooked ever since. I later went on to sell this, and many other skin care lines, when I headed up the Apothecary Department in Nordstroms and this was my go to product. This product has an absolutely intoxicating fragrance that is just the pick-me up most of us need when we are approaching our three o'clock slump. Also, whenever anyone in the cosmetic department had a cold, they would always come over to my area and spray this on their face, it's an immediate pick me up. I also use to see the smaller size to people who did a lot of traveling. It is small enough to carry on and is just what you need to keep your skin look fresh, and you feeling fresh on your long red-eye flights. I used to spray my face with this about thirteen times a day and it never messed up my make-up, just gave me a nice dewy glow for awhile. Another fun thing that I learned that you can do with this is spray a little in with your morning moisturizer, hypothetically it helps boost results, but I just think it feels great and helps the moisturizer sink in faster. It is a bit on the pricey side, and the only way I could justify buying the large bottle was with my Nordstroms discount, but I think that the small bottle is a more than justifiable indulgence. — 2 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

not sure if I would buy it again
I bought a smaller 1oz bottle to try for like $10. I think it costs too much for what it's worth. It smells like rosemary and peppermint and feels nice and fresh when you spray it on. It's supposed to be smoothing and give you a glowing complexion. I haven't seen much of a difference yet. It's good for hot summer days when you don'.t want too much on your face — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Yum!
I keep this cute little bottle in my purse to refresh my face during the day...on hot, muggy days it is a lifesaver! The formula is light, fresh, hydrating, and packed with antioxidants, and the scent is a bright and revitalizing burst of herbal yumminess, but evaporates quickly so it doesn't compete with my perfume. Also wonderful for when you're trapped indoors with dry heat or air conditioning. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
