Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner Reviews

Junk product
LittleBunny (393 reviews)Silly informercial product. This is a junk product and a waste of money. Left a waxy buildup on my hair that took a very long time to rinse out. Would not use this again. — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 8 people said helpful

I Love Wen!
powerwoman033 (509 reviews)I having been using only Wen cleansing conditioners for over 2 years now. I have long, thick, wavy hair and this keeps my hair cleaner, longer. My hair has never been healthier (hair stylists always comment) and I will never go back to regular shampoo. Yes, Wen takes a little longer to work into your hair...Yes, Wen can be a little expensive...But, if you want a sulfate free hair cleanser with good for you ingredients, it is money and time well spent. Make sure you use enough product on soaking wet hair and comb it through. I leave the Sweet Almond Mint cleansing conditioner on while I shave my legs, and then rinse and a quick repeat. My hair stays clean up to a week with no static, oily roots, or loss of manageability. I always recommend this to family and friends. The Wen cleansing conditioners are fabulous for your dogs coat as well! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Nice smell, still miss my other shampoo
sweettpea29 (205 reviews)Although this does smell better than the fig, I feel as if my hair is still dirty. I use the recommended amount to cleanse my hair but still feel as if it isn't clean. I have since stopped using the cleansing conditioner and gone back to using regular suds-ing shampoo. The other thing that gives this the low mark is the price. It becomes a money consuming product when you have to keep ordering it, and paying for S & H. The amount that is suggested will leave your pockets empty and you wanting more, and not in a good way! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Wasn't impressed
GeekyChic (217 reviews)I so wanted to like this product, but I just did not like the way it made my hair look. After I washed my hair with it I thought my hair looked worse. It looked sort of oil and there was no volume to it at all. I know it's better for my hair because it doesn't have sulfates or other harsh chemicals, but it made my hair look terrible. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Garbage
Feline44mom (192 reviews)This stuff is a total waste of money. All it does is coat the hair to weight it down so it looks flat. There are zero cleaning agents in it so there is no possible way it's cleaning anything. I'm convinced they put the mint in it to make the consumer think it's cleaning because of the tingle. I cancelled my future shipments which was quite easy to do. But when I did, the customer service rep said she gets a lot of calls from unhappy customers. Don't waste your money. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

WEN will I see you again?
EveryLittleThing (12 reviews)I'm definetely a "Wen" girl as I have been using this conditioner for almost 2 years and the trick is that you can easily under use the product if you do not follow the directions and put the right amount into your hair. If you do not use enough of it, your hair will actually be oily, but if you use it liberlly, you will reap the benefits of this product. I love the way that it actually makes your hair healthier with each use. My main complaint, however, is that the product is expensive, especially if you are using the right amount of cleansing conditioner, you can easily go through a standard sized bottle in less than a month's time. I have very thick, dry, color treated, naturally curly hair that I get thinned out at the salon, but I still have to use a lot of the cleansing conditioner. I am currently looking for other alternatives that are sulfate free and I can buy at the drugstore, as the Wen conditioner is not a smart part of my budget. When I spend close to $100 every 6 weeks on color treatments, and am spending an average of $40 on Wen a month...that adds up in a year's time to money that I could really use elsewhere, and my color treatments aren't going any where because I love being a blonde. So, sigh....the Wen must go, but I do think that if you can afford this revolutionary cleansing conditioner, go for it and watch how your hair transforms as time goes by. You probably will not ever want to go back to regular shampoos ever again. — 2 weeks, 6 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

My First WEN
TheBlond (89 reviews)This is probably the formula everyone starts with when they decide to try WEN. It smells good and gave this amazing tingle to my scalp. Lavender has since become my favorite because of the volume I get from it, but I still go back to Sweet Almond Mint for that tingling sensation. I'm surprised at all the bad reviews this product gets when I've had really great results. I've learned that this is a trial and error product...you need to find the best formula for your hair type (each scent is different), then determine how many pumps works best for you (the recommended 40 is ridiculous!) and how long you should leave it on. My hair is half way down my back and I use 20-22 pumps and leave it on for 15-30 minutes. Then I rinse like crazy, then rinse some more and add 2-3 pumps as a leave in. My hair is shiny and full of volume..never weighed down or greasy...and I only need to cleanse twice a week. — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
